2007-08-30 03:17:43 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

I have been married to my husband 5years and together for 10. I just turned 30 yrs. old and he is 37. My family is in WIS. and his is in FL. We live in FL because he has a good job and I am currently a full-time student. I just started school. He is not a family guy and never see's his family. We are here only for his job. His only strive in life is money. I am very family-oriented. I met him when I was twenty and he has made all my decisions for me. I lack self confidence. He doesn't like me to have friends, work with guys or to ever go out. So he has been all I have known for 10years. I get a bad feeling when I think of having children with him. He acts like a father in our relationship. I want to move home so bad, but everytime I go home, I have this bad feeling, because I am so used to being told what to do and I come back to him. I am 30 and lost. I am scared to start over. I am homesick and I have nobody or nothing down here. Serious replies only. Thank-you

I am going through a separation with my wife right now. We have 3 kids. In the next few weeks she is moving into her own apartment and I am doing the same. The thing is I am having another relationship with a married woman (6 months now) And I have known her for 4 years. She also has 3 kids. This woman and I love each other. And we are making plains on being together. She swares to me that her marriage is over and that she is not sleeping with him. From the past I know that he has treated her bad (mental and physical abuse).
She believes that he also has a girlfriend and wants my help in catching him so that she can make him leave. She says that she has told him that she does not love him and wants a divorce, but she says that he won’t leave. So she wants proof of him cheating. Should I believe this?
I know I am in the wrong. but me and my wife’s relationship has been over for a long time. I love this other woman, we are happy together but were do you see this going?

I'm 26 and 3 months ago started dating a guy who is 21. When he first asked me out i told him no several times and warned him that i have 2 children (ages 7 and 5) and that there is no way he would be ready for this kind of committment. He assured me that everything would be fine. we dated for a while without introducing him to my kids and we ended up falling in love. This guy is AMAZING in everyway. I finally introduced him to the kids and my youngest loves him and he is great with both of them. My 7 year old is very leary of him because his Dad isn't around and is basically a piece of crap. He ended up moving in and now he is totally stressed out. He is worried that he won't be able to provide for us or that my 7 year old will never like him. Is this guy out of his mind? I warned him several times what he was getting into. He assures me that he loves me so much that he will do whatever it takes to make this work. But i'm so worried another man is going to leave us.....

I had an affair over two years ago with a man who was engaged. Our paths continue to cross because of work and mutual friends. We get along great together and are really supportive of each other professionally and personally. He's spent a lot of time being worried that I will tell his girlfriend about what happened with us, but I think that's over. After a final argument, I've told him and he agrees that there won't be any sex between us anymore. He's since gotten married. I want him in my life professionally and personally, but is this even possible in light of our history? Is there such thing as an "emotional affair"?

My Fiance and I got into a fight last night because I want to go to mexico for a week on my stagette. I told him that if he was going away for a week, than so was I. It just so happens that I want to go to mexico too, but at a different time. He thinks that I don`t want him to go to mexico or go anywhere and that I`m restricting him, but all I want is to be treated equal. I don`t want double standards. If he is going away to Mexico with the guys, isn`t it fair if I go with the girls? Or am I wrong?

Ok here's the situation. My husband and I talked it through in March that he would quit his $60k a year job so that we could concentrate on the business. We worked hard, but luck was just not on our side and until today, we haven't seen the fruit of our labour yet. We have a year's reserve, so I was still OK with it, until he started spending more money on books, tapes and seminars. Believe me, they aren't cheap. Before he quit his job, we did calculations on how many months we can last til we run out of money. And now that he spent so much on these things, our money is running down faster than I can imagine. I can't even look at our account for fear of heart attack. The last straw came when he said he signed up for a $2k seminar, and now has to pay for the flight and accomodation to get there. I burst into tears, angry and frustrated. I didn't even cut my hair for almost a year just so that we can save every penny and he went off spending like there's no tomorrow.

My husband who is 32 drinks a minimum of a 6 pack of beer but normally up to a 12 pack every single night! He starts when he gets home from work and doesn't stop til he goes to bed. Is he an alcoholic? He says it's not hurting anything or me so I should mind my own business. It seems concerning to me. Why do people drink that much??

I have been with my boyfriend now for 4 months. My ex husband just found out about him and is making our lives miserable. He's constantly driving past my house, stalking me and lately I've been receiving "anonymous" texts and phone calls from someone claiming I am dating her boyfriend and that I should watch my back. My boyfriend thinks it's going to get worse. He wants me to press charges and file a restraining order on my ex but I have 2 children w/him and I don't want my girls to suffer. Meanwhile, my boyfriend said he's afraid for my life and his and doesn't want to the situation to get out of hand. I told him to let me deal w/it but he says I don't have control of the situation. He was supposed to take a trip to CA w/me and now he's having second thoughts because of what "might" happen. I told him if that's the way it's going to be he should not be w/me and he said I'm blowing it out of proportion. I'm so dam fustrated! Im thinking of just breaking it off but I do care.

I am the mother of 7 kids ,3 boys/4 girls who all live with me.I'm on my third marriage hopefully the last and i have been happily married for 10 yrs now.My current husband is the biological father of my 3 boys and my youngest daughter. My eldest daughters father and i were only married legally for 2 yrs .He left me when our daughter was a baby because he never wanted children .I moved on so did he and he only ever sent a check for his daughter.About 3-4 years ago he contacted me to wanting to see his daughter because he had a new wife and 2 young sons so he felt guilty. His wife feels that its her right to get involved with things pertaining to my daughter, me, and my ex.husband? And to make comments about my past relationships and question my parenting skills?Stop CS till she new where the money was going?Even argued with me at one point brought up my 2 nd husband who is dead and called my 3rd daughter by him a racial slur because her dad was Arabian/Indian descent.

My father left when I was 7 months old so I have no memory of him. I cannot be ashamed of what my parents did. They made their decisions not mine. 50% of marriages end in divorce so I'd say it is very normal coming from a broken home.

He buys alcohol once a week, nothing strong, but enough. I do worry about it, but its not my place to mention it. I am not one to tell people what to do. Long story--short of it--was married before and got hurt emotionally and verbally. No name calling or hitting. Just certain things said. However, I learned to keep my mouth shut.

Why is it that republican and religious and secular conservatives continue make family values an election issue. The issue of family values and morality was ONE of the hallmark reasons for the Republican take-over of congress and it was also used as a theme during Bush’s first run for office.

Read the list of “hypocrites” below and respond whether or not you think that family values was/is a “SMOKE SCREEN” to win favor and votes

POPULAR SCANDALS

1.Senator Larry Craig, recently pleaded guilty to lued homosexual acts in an Airport. He still defiantly claims that he is not gay.

2.Mark Foley, had phone sex and indecent conversations with male pages.

3.George W. Bush, Republican president, accused in a criminal complaint and lawsuit of raping Margie Schoedinger, who later committed suicide. Accused by Tammy Phillips, a former stripper quoted in the National Enquirer in 2000 saying she had an affair with Bush that had ended in 1999

4.Senator David Vitter (R-La) who ran a hard-core platform on traditional family values, name was found on a Madams list. He told his constituents that it was a “private issue” and to leave him alone.

5.Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican governor, had sex with a 16 year old when he was 28.

6.Joe Scarborough, former Republican Congressman, currently a conservative talk show host. Resigned his congressional seat abruptly to spend more time with his family, amidst allegations of an affair. His intern, Lori Klausutis, was soon after found dead in his office. The medical examiner, who had his license revoked in Missouri for falsifying information in an autopsy report, and suspended in Florida for six years, ruled the case an accident, after giving conflicting information about her injuries. He said he lied about them because "The last thing we wanted was 40 questions about a head injury."

7.John E. Peterson, Congressman (R-Pa), accused of sexual harassment and creation of a hostile work environment by six women. Peterson has refused to admit a crime, saying only "I may have been an excessive hugger."

8.Henry Hyde, Judge who oversaw Clinton's impeachment proceedings, prominent opponent of reproductive rights, who had an extramarital affair with a woman who was married and had three children, during the course of which she and her husband were divorced.

9.Newt Gingrich, married three times. Gingrich campaign worker Anne Manning admitted that she gave Newt oral sex while he was still married to his first wife. Informed one wife he was filing for divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatments

10.Richard A. Dasen Sr., Republican benefactor of conservative Christian groups, convicted of sexual abuse of children, promotion of prostitution and several counts of solicitation, enough to add up to a sentence of 126 years in prison

Conservative Personalities and Figure Scandals

1.Paul Crouch Televangelist, Former President of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Paid $425,000 in hush money in an attempt to cover up a gay affair.
2.Ted Haggard, popular conservative pastor who advised Bush on Family Values issues was outed by a male prostitute who also alleged that he gave Haggard drugs.
3.Rush Limbaugh, triple-divorcee
4.Bill O'Reilly Right-wing conservative talk show host on Fox News, sued for sexual harassment by his producer.
5.Dr. Laura Schlessinger, right wing conservative radio host. Promotes family values, estranged from her mother, opposes birth control, has had her tubes tied, espouses saving oneself for marriage, admits to having had sex before she was married, opposes adultery, has committed adultery while she was married, and has slept with a married man, opposes divorce, is divorced and remarried, has posed for nude photos which are available online.

There are many, many, many more. I know that I am going to be accused of being repub-coserv-basher. I am not, I know the democrats have just as many scandals if not more. However, I think that the whole PLATFORM OF CONSERVATIVE FAMILY VALUES IS A DISINGENIOUS strategy to rally votes and to swing elections. THIS LIST DEMONSTRATES THE FACT THAT NO ONE PRACTICES WHAT THEY PREACH!!!
I also believe that we are all human and everyone makes mistakes, but it is VERY HYPOCRITICAL to impose ideas that these “cultural-icons” don’t keep!
(((What are your thoughts???)))))))

I have such a bad eating disorder and wish I had will power. I know my husband will not touch me over the fact that all the pregnancy wgt I shed years ago came back. He is mean anyway, lots of times and we all know divorce is hell--even a civil one-if you know anyone who has been there. I would just like to know, for my own self esteem, do other men love through the wgt gain, without cheating or putting the woman down>? (My face is pretty..I swear.) If I knew there were men out there that could accept it, I would just feel more self-confident in my current situation. (Just need to know if I am being too idealistic.)

I just turned 30 and honestly I have never really had much of a sex drive. The only time I feel the "urge" is when I am ovulating. Any other time, I never feel in the mood unless I force myself to do it then I start to enjoy it. Is there anything out there that helps women with this? Men feel urges probably several times a day from what I hear - I want to be that way too. My husband would probably be a lot happier. HELP!!!!

I see all kinds of questions in here so negative about men cheating when women cheat too, and for guys who have been cheated on by their wife or g/f, it hurts just as much for the guys, as it does for the women when they are cheated on.

Just interested to see what you all have to say.
