Marriage & Divorce - 7 August 2007

my husband and I will be married 2 years in october. And I haven't lived in utah that long. I need Ideas , things to do or go. I want it to be special. Please help!!!

Married nine years as of June; he moved out so separated for a couple years from husband, but he is coming over soon to "fill out" the divorce papers, which he hasn't filed yet. Is there a reason he would want to rush the process now, when he put it off for 2 1/2 years? Next year would be our ten years being married. Is there something I would *not* get if he gets the divorce done before 10 years? He wants it done with no lawyers (seems better financially overall).

Better to hold out, or just get it over with?

I have been married for 12 years now to a wonderful guy. My problem is that I had a one night stand with my first love (an ex-boyfriend of mine). I ran into him back in April and we had sex. It wasn't the best but it meant so much to me since he was my first love. After several months, I decided to call him (he wanted me to). Now he acts like he NEVER knew me. I am very hurt because he was a very special person in my life (relationship lasted 4 years) and now he acts like nothing. I know that we have separate lives now but I just can't get over the fact of what happened between us in April. Especially now that he acts like nothing happened in April. I don't know what is going through me right now. Please help!

I have a wonderful man! He takes care of everything, the family, has a full time job plus working part time security for this big thing in town. He is open emotionally with me and for me, except when it comes to making love...
He won't caress me while we are doing it but he does before or when were actually asleep. He won't kiss me during,but if I'm just sitting in his lap kissing him he does, and will often lead to it but he won't kiss during. He always lets me do what I want to him, and he makes sure I'm pleased before we stop, no matter how tired he is. He has never complained about anything but I can't seem to get him to be more emotional in that area. He gets this blank look when I'm trying to explain it, like a deer caught in head lights. I'm not sure what to do...just let it go or keep trying to explain? Is there a reason why he disconnects sort of? Is he just concentrating or tired? Or this isn't where he wants to be? I'm sooo confused and I have no clue what to do

My husband recently had a picture on his laptop of a naked 30 somthing brunett I happen to see.Im turning 50 and I look good my figure is great I get comments .I look good I think.But turning 50 and seeing the picture kind a made me feel bad .I know Im getting older and now I seem to know another side of my husband like his preference on age and it hurts somehow.

In my home country of india the concept of 'arranged wedding' has been happening for centuries and still happening mostly. Though certain people dont like the idea they end up doing it anyways.

Is it common in the west for parents to make a match and choose the bride or groom? (ofcourse the concerned peoples consent is asked )

common definition of arranged marriage is that the parents through their friends and relatives network find a guy or a girl for their son or daughter who their family thinks would be great to together and ask for the concerned peoples interest and things works out wedding happens.

Divorcing my highschool sweetheart whom I have been with for twelve years. We have two kids. He cheated and left us in the beggining of last year. I am devastated. We've been married for 8 years. He used to be so caring, loving, understanding and gentle. Now it has been 6 months that he change to be a very selfish, ignorance and cold hearted person. He barely spend time with me or left alone our son. He snapped at me when he had bad day at the office (and it's been going on for 3 months now), I have to be careful to say anything to him cos otherwise he will just get upset and starting to scream at me, and he told me that I won't be ablet to stop him to do whatever he want (drinking, going out and coming home late plus not spending time with his family), and the worst part is that when he got upset with me he also get upset with our 4 years old son.
Two weeks ago he told me to either accept it or get out from the house with our son and today he told me that if I said anything about him doing whatever he want, then he will torture me even more. My husband want all the free time that he has for himself and himself only. Help me.

I am 19 yrs old and have been with my bf(whose 18 yrs old) turned fiancee now for just over 8 months.Both of us are in 2 different colleges but find ways to have quality time anyway.When we met it was love at first sight and caught me totally off guard because i had just gotten over my first love.He at the time was just looking for a female friend with potenital to be a hook up and what not.We are polar opposites i am more shy-laidback and he's outgoing-aggressive.Three months after we met he proposed ring and all were going to elope but friends

cheated on me. I forgave him and changed the relationship to pure friendship. He has been my best friend and a family member since. I met a guy last year and was seeing him with caution not to hurt him. Now I am pregnant from my new guy and my partner is devastated. He is old and has no friends and family. I am everything to him. I am very sad because he said this is the end and left today. He said i love you too much to be part of your life with this new guy and the baby. I am also devastated since he wanted a baby as well. It is a strange connection but it has been that way. My new guy is great and understanding with a lot of his own problems. I am just feeling sad and confused and I am sad that I am not feeling happy about this baby. How can we move on when we don't want to? I love my partner in my life but it is not an intimate relationship.

The man I'm dating just recently got divorced. He knew he made a mistake by marrying her in the first place, and I knew it too, being as I knew her through him. I feel guilty for knowing all along how he felt. It was a complicated situation, and I can't help but feel I am at fault. He is incredibly happier now that he isn't married to her, and we have been dating for awhile. I keep feeling guilty though... what should I do?

I have been together with my sons dad for 12 years on and off; he has always been verbally abusive but usually regrets it the next morning. I feel like though I put up with it, I am tempted to see, date and even cheat with another guy if he interests me enough; yet I'm concerned about messing up and about my kids. What should I do????
