Hot air balloon breakfast.
A big party.

Instead of "buying" him something why don't you plan something instead. Like -- getting tickets to a concert, play, or comedy act and take him - or a weekend getaway somewhere nice - skydiving, parachuting, taking a plane ride (Discovery Flights)
If you are looking to buy him something and he is into sports then buy him something that has been autographed. You can also start him on a collection of some sort that may be valuable one day.
With him just turning 24, I can't see him having everything!
Good luck!
