I worked in downtown Houston in the legal district and my then boyfriend was flying in from Milwaukee late that night. I was supposed to pick him up at the airport at 8:30 that night. In the mean time my girlfriend called and asked me to have dinner with her. I said yes so I would have something to do and kill time while I waited for his plane. (He had called my friend to have her arrange this). She insisted on picking me up outside my building. I was not happy about this but she insisted and at 5:00 I was downstairs in front of the building waiting for my friend.
Ten minutes later, as I waited with other women from the building, a horse drawn carriage came around the corner with my boyfriend in the back. It pulled up in front, he stepped out and handed me a dozen roses and helped me into the carriage. We then were driven in the carriage all though downtown at quitting time while hundreds of people waved and called out best wishes. It was so much fun.
Finally, we stopped at City Hall and got out and we walked around the reflection pond with the roses all in bloom and finally we stopped at a bench where he had me sit and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him as he slipped my engagement ring on my finger. Needless to say, I said YES!
To make things even better, he had arranged for a friend to be following in her car video taping the whole event. The carriage then took us to my parking garage to get my truck and he asked if I'd like to go to dinner. I said yes and he suggested we first go to my parents home and tell them and then go out to dinner. When we arrived they had a yard full of cars. I was so confused. When we walked in he had prearranged with my parents and sister to have a surprise engagement party at the house when we got there.
It was a wonderful, memory filled night for us both. We have now been married nearly 11 years and I never tire of thinking of all the effort my husband went through to make that night so fabulous!

My husband proposed to me in the bedroom after I had a horrible day at work. He got down on one knee and had a nice little speech that he gave. That really turned my day around!!! I didn't need anything extravagent, he was the one that made it special because he was offering to spend the rest of his life with me.

Perhaps u can consider proposing on a romantic yacht outing with jus the two of u out at the sea? Or maybe at a place which is very memorable or of special significance to both of you(e.g. where you two first met or you went on your very first date). A bouquet of flowers + sincerity is very essential.

It was at a restaurant. But I know a guy that organised it with a radio station. They were driving in the car and he pulled over saying he wasn't felling well. then on the radio they played his previously taped wedding proposal. He had the ring with him in the car.

Mmmmmm he did no longer recommend me easily! I met him in college and he replaced into my senior. He enjoyed me and used to come lower back to my classification room and easily smile and stare. i actually enjoyed him too. Later we became pals (a minimum of interior the call of). Then after few months I asked him whats occurring and we are actually not in simple terms pals. We hesitated with the aid of fact we the two belong to distinctive faith. Then I cried and reported i prefer him badly. He reported specific i admire you yet did no longer inform you with the aid of fact i do no longer prefer to smash your loved ones and stands out as the happiest if i'm able to marry you. Then we declared our love and have been given married after 8 years. Now, married for a 12 months and a million/2. nonetheless we remember those techniques and snort :)

I love Waterfalls, and my husband (now) organised a picnic lunch and a trip to a fairly local waterfall, we left really early and got some gorgeous photos of the sunrise (a new day)... and watched the waterfall where He propsed to me and we went down to the waterfall and sat on the dry rocks amongst it... it was beautiful....

Well, I was proposed to in a hotel room in Hot Springs. He came on the family vacation with me. That night (before the proposal) we went down to happy hour and had a few drinks, the family all went out and rode go-karts, my steering went out and i got whiplash, when we finally made it back to the hotel he took me down to the hot tub. Then when it was time for dinner, my family went down and he made an excuse to stay up in the room for a few minutes. He knew I would stay with him. I looked at him and asked what he needed to do and he got down on one knee and proposed to me. Then we went down to dinner with my family who all knew what he was doing.... But other ideas are hot balloon rides (if you live where they do this), at the beach (my uncle did this). He went down early in the morning and wrote out "Will you marry me?" in seaweed that had washed up on the beach. When my now aunt woke up he told her to come to the balcony. He pointed down like something interesting was happening, and while she was looking he got down on one knee. She loved how he wrote it out in seaweed. They have a pic of it....Just be romantic and you know your girl the best so go with what you think she will love and remember for the rest of her life.

He woke me up with roses at my feet, put me in the shower and bathed me, dried me off, put lotion on me and then asked me.
I loved it, it was sooo special. I will never forget it. I knew once and for all how much he loved me.
I would try to not necessarily do something someone else has done, but something that will give her that same feeling. Hope it helps!

At Jacob's Field on Opening Day!! It was awesome. I know that wouldn't be for alot of woman, but for a lifelong Indians fan, it was the best.
Keep it fun and simple.
Good luck.
