My boyfriend and I have a very close relationship. We have been dating for four months and we were best friends for five years. We both liked each other and were close enough to be dating during those five years- minus the kissing, sex etc. We are both very much in love and I cannot think of anyone else better to spend my life with. Recently, he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! We both think we will be engaged for some time, maybe getting married near the end of our second year of university. Right now I am seventeen, heading into grade 12. What do you think of this. I think it is acceptable, but I am afraid of what my friends and family would do or say if they knew. I want people to be happy for our engagement, not scold us for being "young and in love". I hate when people say that! What are some suggestions to get around this getting married young is bad stereotype? Thanks.

I love my husband and respect him very much . We have had a lot of major fights over the past year and have grown apart .I have caught him lying to me on more than oner occasion .Im finding it hard to trusrt him . It seems like when he's around I feel like I have to walk on egg shells to avoid a fight , so I get stressed . I realize that we're married and we are supposed to work this kind of stuff out , but when is enough , enough? How do you know if your still "IN " love with your spouse? We've been together for almost 10 years .

ISN'T THIS THE TRUTH ??????

When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually find a line of
women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn,
you check for feet under the stall doors. Every stall is occupied.
Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman
leaving the stall.
You get in to find the door won't latch. It doesn't matter, the wait
has been so long you are about to wet your pants! The dispenser for the
modern "seat covers" (invented by someone's Mom, no doubt) is handy, but
empty. You would hang your purse on the door hook, if there was one, but
there isn't - so you carefully, but quickly drape it around your neck,
Mom would turn over in her grave if you put it on the FLOOR!), yank
down your pants, and assume " The Stance."
In this position your aging, toneless thigh muscles begin to shake.
You'd love to sit down, but you certainly hadn't taken time to wip e the
seat or lay toilet paper on it, so you hold "The Stance."
To take your mind off your trembling thighs, you reach for what you
discover to be the empty toilet paper dispenser. In your mind, you can
hear your mother's voice saying, "Honey, if you had tried to clean the
seat, you would have KNOWN there was no toilet paper!" Your thighs shake
more.
You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose on yesterday,
the one that's still in your purse. (Oh yeah, the purse around your
neck, that now, you have to hold up trying not to strangle yourself at
the same time). That would have to do. You crumple it in the puffiest
way possible. It's still smaller than your thumbnail .
Someone pushes your door open because the latch doesn't work. The
door hits your purse, which is hanging around your neck in front of your
chest, and you and your purse topple backward against the tank of the
toilet.
"Occupied!" you scream, as you reach f or the door, dropping your
precious, tiny, crumpled tissue in a puddle on the floor, lose your
footing altogether, and slide down directly onto the TOILET SEAT. It is
wet of course. You bolt up, knowing all too well that it's too late.
Your bare bottom has made contact with every imaginable germ and life
form on the uncovered seat because YOU never laid down toilet paper -
not that there was any, even if you had taken time to try. You know that
your mother would be utterly appalled if she knew, because, you're
certain her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat because,
frankly, dear, "You just don't KNOW what kind of diseases you could
get."
By this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the toilet is so
confused that it flushes, propelling a stream of water like a fire hose
against the inside of the bowl that sprays a fine mist of water that
covers your butt and runs down your legs and into your shoes. The
flush somehow suck s everything down with such force that you grab onto the
empty toilet paper dispenser for fear of being dragged in too.
At this point, you give up. You're soaked by the spewing water and
the wet toilet seat.
You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a gum wrapper you found in your
pocket and then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks.
You can't figure out how to operate the faucets with the automatic
sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry paper towel and walk
past the line of women still waiting.
You are no longer able to smile politely to them. A kind soul at the
very end of the line points out a piece of toilet paper trailing from
your shoe. (Where was that when you NEEDED it??) You yank the paper from
your shoe, plunk it in the woman's hand and tell her warmly, "Here, you
just might need this."
As you exit, you spot your hubby, who has long since entered, used,
and left the men's restroom. Annoyed, he asks, "What took y ou so long,
and why is your purse hanging around your neck?"
This is dedicated to women everywhere who deal with a public
restrooms (rest??? you've GOT to be kidding!!). It finally explains to
the men what really does take us so long. It also answers their other
commonly asked questions about why women go to the restroom in pairs.
It's so the other gal can hold the door, hang onto your purse and hand
you Kleenex under the door!

I've been separated from my husband for 2 months now. At the beginning I couldn't accept it and would try to get him back but nothing worked. He would say he would file for the divorce and never did. Then I just acted tough and at one point he would call to "check up" on me. He even dedicated a song to me and called drunk at 4am. I would show no emotion. Then we would jus argue about nothing, and now I just got vulnerable and told him how I feel that I want him back and don't want the divorce. Point is that he said he's confused, doesn't know if he wants the divorce and now we're friends, we get along pretty well and we even flirt! It's killing me because it's like he still doesn't know what he wants. He says that if it were up to him we'd be together but that I haven't changed so I believe that our friendsip will show him that I have. He says he's scared that we won't work out agan. But then he says he's happier w/o but then again that he misses and loves me. Will we get back?!

I found out my husband has been posting personal ads on the internet. He either says he's married, or says he will tell them later. One says he is looking for discreet, kinky sex with a woman. One of them also says he's not sure if he wants more kids, and we have been trying to get pregnant for over a year. I confronted him about these ads and he says him and the guys at work were just screwing around as a joke and looking up fat, nasty women, and women from other countries. He says he is not talking to any of these woman. But I have seen where he sends them little messages saying hi, or email me, or whatever. I told him I couldn't believe he would disrespect me like that. He said sorry and he will stop doing it, that it was just a joke anyway and he was just messing around. I found that he had been sending a few women messages on myspace also but none of them had written back.....what gives? Should I be worried? I never thought he was capable of cheating....help me!

I recently posted because I am newly married and left another state and good job to live with my then soon to be husband. Now I am here, we are married things are different. I am leaving already because he is displeased with my weight. He says that I dont make him happy. At first I was really hurt, I didnt understand. But I know my worth, and I know that I deserve far more. He will reap what he sows. No one is guaranteed to stay the same weight, people may loose or gain. I have already lost 40lbs but that does seem to be good enough.

I am pissed because I am sitting in the house dress nice but my hair is all over my head in the privacy of my own home because I was scratching my hair then I hear some keys turn thinking it was my husband, its his son and his son's mom. She could have just dropped him off and left, but she came in here to see what I looked like. My stepson is 13, he does not need to be walked in. Then she spoke and proceded pass me and went to the rear of the apartment

My husband feels sorry for himself all the time lately. Its either his job he finds fault with, or he thinks that everything costs too much, and he is so paranoid that hes loosing his hair, and cant remember anything, cant hear as well, and he just cant accept that these things happen when you get older, but we all have to just hang in there and do the best we can with what we do have. He can be very happy one moment, and the next get very upset about the slightest little thing! Is this normal?

We were married for a total of 3 yrs.

The guy was terrible with money, I had to do everything - cook, clean, groceries - while he just sat on his butt, smoked pot & drank. He had terrible credit. When we were dating, it was fun, sex was great, he was charming. Then, we get married & I realized it was permanent.

I asked for a divorce 2 wks after the wedding but we stayed together for 3 yrs because we had some sort of sick connection..

Part of me is so mad that I married that loser I can hardly forgive myself. And part of me wants him back b/c all there are is losers out there. For all our issues, he really did make me happy at times.

We got divorced after 3 yrs & he married someone else w/in 6 months.

How can I get over being so used as well as being so stupid as to stay in a relationship that was so abusive to my soul?

I recently descovered that my husband is cheating on me through phone records and other weird behavior on his part. After confronting him he denied it and told me that all he wants to do in his life is go out and drink with his "friend" and sit on his rear and watch t.v. I have chosen to leave him but I have not told him yet for fear of what he might do because of his very shot temper. Plus I have also caught him lying to me almost daily. Just wanting to be reasured that I am making the right decision in leaving and getting a divorce, because even after all of this I do still love him even if he does not show any love back.

My hubby had two spinal surgeries this past year, and I had to stay home with him. The doctor finially told him he could go out on the boat as long as he had someone to help him in and out and all he did was sit and fish. He can also go to the race track as long as he does not climb bleachers. Anyway, I told him to go fishing and he said " not without you, it would not be fair , you have done nothing this summer" Last night he could have gone to the races , but again, even though I don't like races, he said " it's not fair to you" I am going nuts. He has been around me 24/7 for a year. I usually go to visit my gay friend twice a year, I suggested it and he said " what , I can't go?' How do I tell him nicely I need some space?

In cases of divorce when a child is involved who claims the child at the beginning of the year when filing taxes? If we are joint managing conservators but I am the conservator with primary possession and the right to designate our son's residence do I claim him or does my soon to be ex husband claim him? I would like to be the one to claim him each year. Do I need to speak to my lawyer to request that or how does that work? My husband is not very involved at all in our son's life and I do the most for him so I would only see it fair that it should be me.
