We've been married for 18 yrs with 2 kids late teens. I've never cheated on her. We've gone to counceling did all the things to try to make us closer, even built better communication between us. Even though I decided to stay and work it out, I can't stop thinking about it and everyday things trigger a memory that brings on the pain. My question is two part, first for anyone who has been cheated on and decided to stay, does it get easier (better) and for those who have had years since the incident, was your decision to stay worth it? Second for anyone you was cheated on and you decided to leave do you feel that your better off exspecially if there has been some time since the betrayal.

I got married at 22 to my boyfriend of 3 years.

We are now 25 and are hoping to start a family soon.

I live in California in the city and people constantly ask me if my husband is in the military or if I was pregnant when we married.

They think only military wives and knocked up women get married in their early 20's.

I still don't think 22 is too young to marry when you got your stuff together, and I was always mature I had a college degree, a career and a house when I married.

Why do people think 22 is SO young to be married?

Some people marry for love even when they are "young"!

Not that I'm the most perfect wife in the world, but I sure did try 10000% to ensure that he was the happiest guy in the world and satisfied and proud. Apparently, I wasn't enough because he proceeded to go right out in pursuit of naked woman and came home with lots of reasons to lie...which eventually (not sure if all) caught up with him. Add to this, his list of never ending criticisms concernig women's body parts on a regular basis and you get one miserable, depressed, insecure wife.

So, now I'm seeking anti-depressants, just like his last wife (who I seem to be turning into) and am going CRAZY because I want to get away from this guy who is making me feel TERRIBLE, but due to the usual circumstances, including a 4 year old...I'm afraid. So I'm stressing on both ends.....

What do you do??? I feel like I'm losing it here!! It's getting harder and harder to be "happy" around my son.

Because of personal reasons I had to drop out of a bridal party (my brother is getting married). Is it wrong to expect my husband to also drop out since I dropped out? The reason I dropped out is because I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks and thought it be better to sit this one out. Am I wrong? And is it right for other bridal party members to get on my case about it?

My soon to be ex thinks that all we have to do is wait another 8 months (2 yr period) and the courts will recongnize the divorce, and finalize it. He wants to get re married next year. I want this all over with but is that how it goes. I don't want to keep putting money out if I'm not going to have anything to do with the timeframe. I want this over with last year. If you know what I mean.

I'M PLANNING TO GET MARRIED, EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR NOW, I UNDERSTAND THAT THE FIRST STAGES OF MARRIAGE IS CHALLENGING, BUT I HAVE A QUESTION, SHE HAS A CHILD (2YRS. OLD) ALREADY FROM SOMEONE ELSE, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE CHILD AND SHOULD I BE HELD RESPONSIBLE 100% FOR THE CHILD THATS NOT MINE OR WHAT? SOME GOOD TIPS AND ADVICE WOULD BE NICE.

Before I got married I lived with my now wife for 2 years -

When we got married I thought this will be no different - my friends told me it would be

It is but on a very subtle level I can't explain it

What I don't get is why the relationship hasn't changed as such but it's formal recognition seems to have an impact

What is the difference and why

Don't get me wrong I am very happy and all that but surprised the relationship seems to have undergone small but noticeable changes

I am just hoping you have seen or been through similar events beacause I can't do better than this for an eplanation of what I am trying to ask

We've been married for 4 years. We have a 3 year old together and a step daughter from his previous marriage. However, during the past 4 years, he hasn't been able to keep a job long than a month. He's gotten into the nasty habit of supporting the family thru shoplifting. My credit has been ran thru the mud. I've lost a lot of respect for him and I just don't love him like I did. I don't want to do anything to hurt the kids. I found out recently that he suffers from depression. Should I be more understanding? Is it wrong to want a better life for my daughter and I? I told him that I wanted to leave and he threatened to kill himself, then the next day acted like nothing happened. I'm confused. We have fun together when we hang out. I'm just not sure if I should stay. Any good advice?

I know the couples in my family all have interesting stories. My mother’s parents met at a street dance back in the 50’s and my father’s parents over a coin toss ( heads my grandfather took my to-be grandmother out on a date; tails he never asked her again) and my parents at a military dance.

Why do single people have affairs with married men/women? From the answers posted to similar questions it seems as if the majority of people think affairs are wrong - I agree. I believe both the married person and the single person are equally responsible for the hurt they cause to the other spouse and children. Having said that - why do it? Is it a game? If he/she leaves his spouse for you does that make the other man/woman feel good in some way? How could you trust them? How do you live with the damage the two of you have caused? How does this impact your relationship? Is it worth it?

Before I got married I always thought that when I did get married it would just be this blissful amazing thing full of cuddling, kissing and love making. Instead after our week long honeymoon in mexico we got home and just started fighting with eachother almost every day. It was so hard and both of us wanted to give up but we stayed together and it's been over a year now it's gotten so much better. I'm just curious what happened to the "newly wed bliss" that everyone talks about. I have also had a cousin who only stayed married for four months and another friend who only lasted a month before filing for divorce. Any ideas?

I am not being cheated on. I am the single one that is being persued. He married for his kids. Made some bad decisions, and is now in a bad marriage.
Does this say anything about his character? Will he always be a cheater, even if he is in a happy relationship? Or is he only doing this because he is unhappy?
