Well, love is an interesting topic. Many of us have been there and are still searching for love. Here's my thoughts on love. Love to me means delicate, passionate, embraceable, understanding, patience, time, etc. What I'm getting at is love doesn't happen overnight. Love makes you feel a certain feeling in the pit of your stomach that makes one smile. There are some whom believe in love at 1st sight but I beg to differ because it takes time to get to know someone. For me true love is when someone shows their actions because as we all know actions speak louder than words. I feel there is "that one" out there for all of us but we as individuals tend to be impatient at times when we should focus on finding out who we as individuals truly are. When two people love each other, they share one another's dreams and support one anothers dreams. They console one another, they tell each other the truth, they are faithful to one another, and overall they have one another backs.

That leads me to my next point which is that there are many times when love is tested. This is where the prayer and communication should fall into place because if two people who love each other can incorporate these two things into their relationship, true love as we call it can surpass and prevail. I don't believe there is a such thing as a part time love. Your heart feels what it feels when it feels it. And one know when they begin to love someone. But one has to be true to their heart and not lead someone just for personal gain. Everyone wants to be in love and I truly believe that if one waits for God to send them the right person, true love can be experienced because it is my belief that God ables us to feel love and love others.

In Corinthians 1-13 in the Bible, it gives us a beautiful definition of real love.

love builds up the broken wall
and straightens the crooked path.
love keeps the stars in the firmament
and imposes rhythm on to ocean tides
each of us is created of it
and i suspect
each of us was created for it

Most people will answer you that "you will just plain know true love when you see it," or that "true love makes you feel good and special." This is NOT true love. This is primarily romantic attraction and perhaps the beginning of love.

True love takes time to reveal itself. And, the simple fact is: true love most often reveals itself when things are at their worst. When you are up to your neck in trouble and all your friends and family have abandoned you and renounced you, if your partner stands with you and supports you through troubled times: that is true love.

When you are deathly sick and truthfully, about as unattractive as a person can be, if your partner takes care of you even so far as to hold your head when you have to vomit into a bucket: that is true love.

True love is only minimally about happiness and good times. True love cannot be confirmed until it has passed through the storm.

I have had the exact same question. I just worded it differently. It took me a long time to realize how much I loved my boyfriend but now I'm just questioning whether or not I want him for life. You will absolutely know true love but it takes more than love to build a lasting relationship.

I feel true love works in different ways in different time in ones life, I was single for over six years and I had decided it wasn't meant for me. Then when I wasn't looking it hit me like a ton of bricks. I heart felt heart beats, I'd never felt before, I honestly believe God sent him into my life. I was blessed. We have been married now going towards our 14th year. All this time and I still get giddy when I know it's time for him to arrive home from work. All I can tell you is if it is right for you and him. I feel you just know. Trust your faith.

It's not something you look for or find puropsely. You will FEEL it without interference of thought or what's in your head. Your head is filled with so much information that you will get confused so you have to use your gut (instincts), they will speak to your heart and let you know. If you have to think about whether or not you should pursue then you shouldn't. Just go with the flow luv, that's what I did and I have found my ONE. Good Luck!!

You will know when it happens.

When you can look into your partners eyes and nothing else around you matters.
