Marriage & Divorce - 13 September 2006

We were married for 24 years and my wife would like it if we could just be friends. I told her I do not want to be friends with her and her boyfriend. Is this normal? I know he will eventually be in our childerns lifes when they go visit my X and her room-mate lover. But what part is the healthest role for me in this relationship. I do not like the guy because he is still married and was secretely with my wife 2 years before the divorce and I did not even know.

My partner is never interested in both. It's my feeling that foreplay is a good aphrodasic & being in each other's arms gives afeeling of being loved. Because of this I'm feeling rejected.

he is a nice person otherwise but when i tell him it upsets me,he can't stop and tells me it's no big deal.he makes fun of my weight as i put on 50 pds after my two babies in 3 yrs.i feel rejected and am losing confidence in my looks.i am working on losing weight but i need appreciation from him to feel confident in front of him.i am otherwise a confident person but i feel he pulls me down at times and then i cry.i don't know how to handle him and make our relationship better.any advice?

I want to settle down and get married, have kids... but the last girlfriend I had that was separated, decided to not get divorced ( for her kids).
I met her AFTER she was separated. I stayed in that relationship hoping she would give in to divorce and she ended up cheating on me, 7 years later, because I wouldn't put her family first. No, I did NOT move in with her.

The one before that I knew couldn't have children, so I told her the third time we were together,we would never get married, but we got along so well, I decided to stay with her, no kids/marriage or not.
I moved in with her. 4 years into this one, she became more concerned about my paycheck than me. She became a roomate, instead of girlfriend. No intimacy. I stayed with her for 3 more years trying to make it work.
I can commit but am I picking the wrong women?

My wife takes off wedding ring because I point out 3 misakes on our apartment moveout statement. I pointed out 3 mistakes where we were incorrectly charged on a bill. It was obvious because I had receipts to go with it. She blantantly gets mad with me, brings up the past 10 years of every single mistake I ever made.

She has done similar things like this before where she would say that she nolonger wants to be engaged. She marries me and continues the same reaction. No matter what it is, if she gets mad she doesn't want to be married anymore.

As you can see we're married. Why must she be so dramatic. I am exhausted and hurt everytime she does this. I sometimes wonder if I should just make it happen for her. Just free willingly get the ball rolling to end our relationship.

I've explained to her how it hurts, she even agreed before marriage she wouldn't do this, but still does.

What should I do?

If communication is so important in a marriage, why women talk bad about thier husband behind his back, why do the write hateful stuff about them in journals and diaries. I mean if your unhappy with your spouse why not tell them and try to work them out versus hiding it from him?

I had an affair and it ended 6 mths ago and my partner has forgiven me after we talked about why it happened and what happened.

I love my partner but i can not get over the guilt of what i did.

Have others had affairs and just put it behind them? Can you ever forgive yourself to stay with your partner you cheated on?
Please help, i dont know if i should just leave.
