I am suffering from an emotional disconnect from my husband. I handle everything in or life (kids, managing all the fianances, repairs on the house, cars, etc.) we both work and he has no problem contributing financilally, but outside of that he doesn't do anything else. He pretty much comes home and watchs t.v. We have only been married 4 years and have been together for 6 years.

The times I do plan for us to go out or do something he complains or we end up arguing. he feels and have said as long as he's paying the bills and come home every night, I should have nothing to complain about.

he never makes me feel special or appreciated. I want my marriage to last but at this rate i don't know if it will. I want more from him and I don't think he is willing to give more. Any suggestion. Can anybody relate......I'm stressed.......

My "Fiancee" and I always fight. He thinks he can be gone all day on his days off, not help me clean or cook.. But when we fight he screams, pushs me he has kicked me and punched me...I was attempting to grab his balls though. He has broken like 5 cell phones, let the air out of my tire and practically broken anything glass, thrown dressers. I am scared and I always cry and he hates me for crying what do I do... It is hard to see my situation from the inside view!

My husband once told me that I do not treat him like a husband. All of this talk came by when his girlfriends kept telling what they would and would not do if he were with them.

My answer to him was if he started to act like a husband instead of the village ram I would treat him like husband.

(village ram is aman who thinks he is God's gift to women and must have them in abundance)

I just so strongly believed that they should not be giving advice because their motive was for him to turn away from his marriage

I met my wife when I was 20 years old. (Young, I know!)

I knew I wanted to marry her because she was funny, smart, witty, goal oriented, desired a family, and so much more.

She is the most beautiful (not just physically) person I have ever met.

After 5 years, I still sit at work and think of her and get all giddy. I actually smile when I think of her when I am alone.

I knew I wanted to marry her when I would think about my future and I always thought about her being in it with me.

I can have the worst day of my wife and she can always make it better, its nice to know someone so special always cares for me.

How did you know you wanted to marry your spouse?

house hold duties, as no ain no gain right? Am I being more than fair by giving her an extra ten minutes to have my dinner ready? I think so what do you think? She says like everything its my fault and its unfair and demanding of me, I told her that an attitude may only result in her karma kicking her butt again!

Why do people fall out of love?

I am talking about marriages without cheating or verbal/mental/physical abuse.

My aunt and uncle were married for 10 years, I always thought they were so happy. But then my aunt went to my uncle one day and said she wasn't in love anymore and wanted a divorce. He swears to this day he didn't see it coming.

How can you be so in love with someone for years, have children and then one day wake up and realize you are no longer in love.

My wife and I have been together for 5 years, the first year or two were very passionate, now its a more mature relationship. I don't feel like its "new" love, but I feel more respect for her and I feel that we are lovers (still) but also best friends. Its like our love shifted from passionate love to a different love.

Do you think people think mature love means you aren't in love anymore? Maybe a mature love is boring for some people?

What do you think?

I cannot get myself so far to kiss him intimately and yes I did discuss it with him in the best way that I could. He has crooked teeth, and even when he brushes before we want to get it on, he's breath stinks even worse. We have tried flossing, but the gaps between his teeth make it impossible for it to stay clean. I asked him how he would feel about wearing false teeth, and he said that he would do it if it will make me wanna kiss him. I love kissing and really misses it. I don't want to act selfish. What can I do?

I have been dating the same guy for 5 years and engaged for the first 3 years (with about a 6 month break-up within the last 2 years). Everything was great for the first 2 years but the last 2-3 have been hell. I was such a b**** to him because I was going through a lot of things and took it all out on him (althought part of this was due to his pushing back our future plans on several occasions). I am now back to normal and I have apologized and tried to make everything up to him. I really do love him and want things back the way they were. I do not know what else to do. He is acting weird but he told me he still loves me and always will. He also said that I am a major part of his life and have a huge impact on him. I do not want to lose him, he is the man I want to marry. Has anyone had this or something similar happen and can give me some advice.

My grandparents have been married for 60 years. They met in high school and married at 18. They are always happy, laughing and hugging, and its true happiness, not an act.

My parents have been married for 30 years and married at 20. They are very happy, sometimes bicker over their 4 children, but have always been very loving to each other.

Why can't people remain married anymore?

People say marrying young ends in divorce, but people married way young 30, 40, 50 years ago and they made it work.

What is wrong with our society? Why are people divorcing over stupid things?

My friend's wife wants a divorce after a year because she wants to go drinking with her friends (guys) and cheat instead of being a faithful wife.

Why is this so common?! No wonder why marriage is a joke now a days!

What has changed in our society that divorce is so high?

i'm getting a uncontested divorce. we do not want to involve lawyers. hopefully it stays that way.

the problem. we purchases a motorcycle may 2005, and took out the financing in my name, the bike was for him. during our seperation we have been spitting the payments down the middle but the bike has remained in his possession. NOW, at his apartment someone got on the bike in the middle of the night (probably drunk) and dropped it, scratching it bad, and putting a big dent in the casing. He has the bike on his insurance but he has liability only. he has not gotten it repaired. He dropped the bike at my apt saying that he wants nothing to do with it or me anymore. I cannot ride the bike for it is too big, i cannot afford the full payments by myself. and I cannot sell it because i will be taking a huge hit because of the damage.

Should i just let it get repossessed? I don't need to buy a car or get any new CC in the next 7 years? what will happen in the repo process.

My friend and his wife are on the brink of divorce because of lack of communication between them. His wife refuses to go to counseling because she says that is for screwed up people.

I don't get this, we are all screwed up! Even if you have a happy marriage you can benefit from counseling because you are learning ways to communicate.

About a year before my wife and I married we went to premartial counseling. I learned a lot about communication and learned how to protect my marriage (from my own mother) by setting up boundaries. And honestly, we are very happy now that I have learned to keep my mother away from my relationship with my wife.

We can always improve ourselves and there is nothing wrong with admitting you aren’t perfect and can use some improvement.

Why do people think marriage counseling is so bad?
