Oh yes very common my husband does it all the time I can't put on make up,take a shower, brush my teeth, fix my hair without him barging in it gets on my nerves too because sometimes I want some peaceful time to think cause while he's at work I'm mostly with the kids and I wait till he gets home to take my bubble bath so the kids can be watched well sometimes I am in the tub with my bubbles and the bathroom smells so good and I'm relaxing all of a sudden he comes in to go to the bathroom it makes me so bad cause I'm in the tub trying to relax and he will come in and he's sitting there on the toilet taking a dump gee what a way to ruin a nice bubbly bath it can be hectic let me tell you I know how you feel

Different people have different comfort boundaries as it applies to the bathroom, If you are uncomfortable with your husband barging in tell him and install a privacy lock and use it...

I myself haven't peed/pood without company in the bathroom for nearly 19 years... my husband and/or kids always take the opportunity to strike up a conversation while I am seated.... But it really doesn't bother me I grew up in a large family with one bathroom you learned to overcome performance anxiety or explode...

Wow had to edit..... I am now wondering if I will be able to pee/poo without an audience so to speak when the kids are all off to college... I may have a real problem in about 10 years LOL

Yes, very common. Husbands barge in on their wives all the time. It gets even worse when you have kids. You can't even use the bathroom in peace....but well worth it all! When you go in the bathroom, lock the door. Probelm solved!

Yeah, for us, it's no big deal. In fact, we rarely close the door between the bathroom and our bedroom.

But I do remember it was kind of weird at first. Like on our wedding day, I had to go to the bathroom, and the only people at the house so far was my brand new husband and his brother. I needed help getting in and out of my dress, so I had to ask my husband to help me. He was all sorts of weirded out by the request, it's a really funny memory actually.

best wishes

a lot of people equate getting married with sharing everything--however, if you don't want him barging in on your toilet time lock the door--it's a personal preference, ususally guys don't care, but do you really want to see him that way?

Well sure it is. U are not strangers anymore and if anything, u should be feeling comfortable with each other by now...although if this bothers u, simply tell your husband to knock when you're inside, especially if you're doing the number 2.

My hubby and I are like that - I actually have no problem with him barging in like that. I really don't care. I don't get embarassed in any way. But my hubby still leaves the tap running when he goes #2. He cracks me up.

It is very common but if you're not comfortable with it, tell him! You are newlyweds and you still have lots to learn about each other's likes and don't-likes. Don't be decived and think you can read each others minds just because you love each other. Talk to him even about the littlest things.

Just tell him you would like your privacy or that you are almost done. AND yes it is common. That was the hardest part of my new married life to overcome him watching me go to the bathroom.
