I met my wife when I was 20 years old. (Young, I know!)
I knew I wanted to marry her because she was funny, smart, witty, goal oriented, desired a family, and so much more.
She is the most beautiful (not just physically) person I have ever met.
After 5 years, I still sit at work and think of her and get all giddy. I actually smile when I think of her when I am alone.
I knew I wanted to marry her when I would think about my future and I always thought about her being in it with me.
I can have the worst day of my wife and she can always make it better, its nice to know someone so special always cares for me.

I cannot say want one thing made me know that he was the one. But I totally understand what you are saying. He was 19 and I was 18 and I was out with his best friend. That was in November, We moved in together in January and married that April, That was 24 years and one daughter later and I still get butterflies when he is going to come home. He truley is the love of my life. I cannot image living without him. We even got married again because the first time was at the Justice of the Peace so 2 years ago we had a church wedding. I even got my construction worker husband to wear a tux for me... Now that is love...

She said her dad was moving to CHina so we should, so he could be at the wedding. We had been together 9 years already, were getting along ok, so I said ok. I asked her to marry me. She said ask my dad if its ok, so I did. He said yes. I asked again. She still insists that she asked me. Not true. We were sort of poor and had pawn shop rings. Shouldn't matter I think. Anyway we made it 10 more years somehow. We do dump each other every few years. Maybe a healthy thing.

Were not married yet....were not even engaged yet....but from the first time I saw him, I just knew that one day, thats going to be my husband. and i still feel that way, to that day. so im guessing you just "know".

well, my husband came from across the us, just to ask me to marry him. and he never hit or abused me in any way.
