Recently my wife confessed she had an affair a year ago with a guy she met on the internet. At least she thought it was going to be an affair. When she went to meet him in New York he kept her in a hotel room for 3 days while he and 2 other men raped her repeatedly. She only confessed because he started calling her and threatening to tell me about everything if she did not go to see him again. I tried to work things out but she just became more and more distant. After 2 weeks she moved out and now I can't even get her to talk. Do I keep trying to letting her know that I still love her and want to work things out or do I just leave her alone?

I am a 51 year old female who has been married for the past 25 years. I have raised 2 young men ages 18 and 20 who are out on there own and doing well. My husband and I have grown apart. I have been feeling unhappy in marriage for the past 5 years but have kept the family together for the sake of my sons. Now that it is just my husband and me I want to get out and do more thigs. All he wants to do is sit home in his easy chair and watch TV. I have been a good wife and mother and feel that it is now my turn to enjoy life. My husband and I have not been growing close, we have been growing apart. All my friends are absolutely shoked that I would even consider leaving him to pursue some happiness on my own. They say after 25 years, we should stay together and weather the rest of what life has to offer. Sexual life has been nonexistant for the past 6 months and I need closeness.

I have trust issues with my Husband. He never realy did anything do make me feel this way, but I have been hurt to many times before, by other boyfriends, my Father cheated on my mother and our best friend also cheated on his girlfriend. I am just so scared of getting hurt again, and I don't know how to trust my husband. If he did go out with his friends he always come and tell me what they did and what went down.; but as soon as I just hear another girls name, I freak out. Is this normal? Do I need to see someone to sort this out, or does anyone else have some advise?? Please help, it's starting to hurt our marriage.

I thought marriage was supposed to be a life-long commitment (for better or worse and all that) So what is the purpose behind a pre-nup?
It seems like a pre-nup is saying "I want to spend my life with you for as long as things are good. If things start to go downhill, we can always get a divorce because I've covered my assets" Where's the commitment in that?

Did you ever cheat on me?
"Well not exactly"
What do you mean "not exactly"?
"One time a woman approached me and gave me her phone number and told me to call her. I kissed her but I never called her or had sex with her."
Who was she?
"That's irrelevant."
Where did you see her at when the kiss took place?
"Oh well see, one day I was at work and she stopped by."
Out of all the buildings there, she knew exactly which building you worked in?
"Yeah, she saw my vehicle in the parking lot."
Are you still seeing her?
"No of course not. See, she's engaged and she told me oh she just wanted to have an affair and I told her no, I don't do things like that."
Where did you first meet her at?
"Oh I was helping a friend with something and she was there and she approached me then later on she saw me at work and stopped in."
Who is she?
"I already told you, it's irrelevant."

Serious replies please!

We just bought a new house, a "new start" but she still aint changed. I do all cooking cleaning, walk dogs, grocery shopping, decorating, gardening. She has a great personality, but I dont think that is enough anymore. She wears me out mentaly, constantly complains about how shitty her life is, but wont work with me to try to improve things. We have massive debt but she continues to spend money like there is no tomorrow moans if we dont go on holiday, so she goes with her mate, and I always let her. Is she taking the p**s out of me

Last week my friend Mary had an argument with her husband Luke. Luke was opening the door to leave their place and Mary put her hand on his shoulder to stop him, then he punched her square in the eye! After Mary called me, I took her to the hospital to get her examined. Fortunately, no broken bones..just a nasty black eye. She spoke with a social worker and also gave a statement to the local police, who also took a photo of her face. They asked if she wanted to press charges and she said no. She has two kids with Luke, and she was also afraid of what Luke might do if she did press charges. When everything was finished at the hospital, I took her home to her parents. Her children were left with her husband. I thought the kids should come to her parent's as well, but she didn't think Luke would hurt the kids. After staying at her parents' for a few days, she went back to her home with her husband!

This just doesn't feel right to me, anything my fiance posses, she shares with everyone, as if it's not her's but more of everyone else's along
What's mine is her, and her's is mine, however what's ours is also her friend's
It's like a circle, what's inside is ours, and what's outside is everyone else's, problem is she doesn't know where to place this circle
It may sound like I'm really possesive, but I do know my limits, i just think she needs to put a limit to herself too, because at the moment she has none to what is hers, I feel like I don't want share what's ours, that she has given to others anymore...
Example... I don't like it how she likes to sleep in the same bed with her friend... To me the bed is something to share with only someone you love, unless there's no other bed around
i don't feel like this is a true bond engagement unless she learn to close the gap for us
i just wish she learns to share what is only necessary for others unless emergency case

I have 2 beautiful step kids..along with 3 of my own.. ive been with my husband for almost 4 years now.. I know that his x wife is a "piece of work" but man some of the things she does is beyond imagination for me at times.. I try very hard to be nice and civil to this woman.. i treat her kids as if they were my own..when she's needed someone to watch them for her i always say yes.. but this woman..omg..she drives me nuts.. She lies to the kids..about me and my husband to try and get them to hate us..She use to go back to my husband and say i wasnt nice enough to her..when i thought everything went great.. her son was sick once, and i called her and asked her what she would like for me to give to him , she said Tylenol so i did, she picked him up later that day took him to the docs had them run a test to see if i over medicated him..(i only gave him one dose of what she told me to give him), when the kids have stayed during the week, i sign the homework papers as the teachers request.

what is it with porn and men... do you know it makes your woman feel terrible.... at times we can be sexy but most of the time we are running kids to school, doing house work or going to work, sorry we can't take the time bend over in front of you and serve dinner with a domimatrix outfit on..... granted men are visual, so while looking at porn you have to get horny..... yes?????

Why do most people think that a mother is more fit to raise a child than a father? My husband and I do more for the child than she does. We feed him, buy his clothes, make sure he bathes, make sure his homework is done, get him from school, and she doesn't even pick him up after she gets off work. We have him 95% of the time and we are still paying her child support even though we do everything for the child. I know we need a lawyer but will it do us any good since most judges think that a mother is more fit to take care of a child than the father?

A few yrs ago I found some letters that my husband wrote to this woman he knew from another state. The letters were intense. He told her he loved her and wanted to make love to her given details etc.We had a big fight of course. The woman is supposingly his friend and she was married at one time. She called looking for him back in 1999. that is when I met her over the phone. Now she somehow tracked him down after all these yrs and called our house in May. We talked I told her i would tell him she called. I didn't tell her about the letters because she never got them. She mentioned that her and her husband were separated etc. Now by coincident my husband was schedule to go on military duty in her state. I have this gut feeling that he made love to this woman when he left for his military duty in her state. It is something about her that seems to keep him interested after all these yrs which is about 11. Am I being paranoid?
