The indexes for marriages (and for that matter, births and deaths) in England and Wales, are not made available to the public until at least 12 months after the event in question, sometimes longer. At the moment you can see records up to the end of 2004. In January I think it is, you will be able to see records up to the end of 2005. It won't be until 2008 that records for 2006 will become available.

You can pay to have a search done by the Family Records Centre which is in Islington, London, but as well as their names, it would help to have an idea of where the couple married if not when. This will cost you quite a bit as you don't know when the marriage took place or indeed if it took place at all. If the record is found by the researchers, the cost of the certificate will be at least £7.00 on top of the search fee.
