If men lie about small things....does it mean they also lie about big stuff? If they lie can they be trusted?

The lie because it's easier than having to deal with responsibility of the truth.

First of all, not all men or women lie. There are honest people out there. There is "lying by exclusion" and then there's "total black lying". The first one, I'm sure everyone has done because in some cases, there are things better left unsaid for sake of peace but this doesn't make it right either because lying is lying, no matter how u cut it. The second type of lying should definitely be a no-no, especially if it's about an important matter or big issue and in a respectful loving relationship, both partners should always be open and honest with each other.
Of course u got those "pathological liars" and it goes for some men as well as women. I guess it depends on the type of person they are. Obviously, if one is a chronic or pathological liar, they can't be trusted.

I think people in general lie not just men and not all people lie. But if they due they lie to try and make a situation better but it usually ends up making it worse. As far as can they be trusted it would depend on what they lied about.

everyone lies..... it's a natural thing..... human nature..... men or women, they both lie...... though women are just really emotional that they do not overlook any lie..... women lie to men to but men just don't mind or just really don't care..... Though I think that men lie most of the times cause of their so called EGO..... They just like to gloat and impress others..... Men is possible to lie about big stuff..... but not all of them....... probably theres a ratio of 4 men lying and 1 men honest...... you just gotta know when to trust a guy..... women has one special gift taht you should exercise...... it's being good at reading someones eyes and finding out the truth.....

It depends on the severity of the lie.
When ++++ lied, people died.

Little white lies never killed anybody.
Not all men are diehard liars.
That actor who passed away last week, Glenn Ford, was in the Europe Theatre during W.W. 11. He defied orders to help feed five or six thousand people freed from concentration camps.
That's my definition of a hero, not a liar.
In today's rapid paced world of gadgets and gimmicks, nothing can be trusted.
Take a look at all the cars being built today and ask yourself, can they be trusted? To last? Last longer than the expiration of the lease agreement? Can they compare to their counterparts built 40 or 50 years ago?
So, where's the lie?
The truth is more people get killed on our roads today than in all wars, combined.
I'm afraid to say (these are my ex-wife's words), we ALL are living a lie.

not all men lie,it does not mean that if 1 or 2 men lied 2 u then it means that all men lie,sorry u met the wrong people coz they gave u the wrong impression about all men,some men r truthful,some lie coz they r cowards coz they dont have the guts 2 face they r wrong or b seen that they r wrong,they r afraid 2 admit they r wrong coz they think its foolish 2 b wrong.

Men lie for the same reason women do. And no you can not trust a someone who does not tell the truth..

they lie for the same reason women lie , lying is not a "man's" thing, ... its a human thing... both men and women lie , and if someone lies to you about a small thing then dont trust him , coz small or big ..its a lie after all .... this goes for men and women

One lie can lead to another, then you have a bunch of lies that add up in the end.
Not ever guy is a liar. The good ones are hard to find. Keep your chin up and know what you want and stick to it.

everyone lies even you ofcourse
it just the problems ur lies create
usually ppl lie from others because they think others wont understand there problems so well you can just sit and talk to the other person make him closer to you and maybe he will try to open up and try sharing
make him feel special
wehn you make ppl speacial or show them respect then
you make ppl love you nad ppl open up to you
and then when ppl open up then they dont lie anymore
