I am almost 21 and have been with my g/f for over 4 yrs. She is my first real g/f and is 18 months older than me. If things go well, we plan on getting married in 2009. When I told my father that I plan on marrying her, he discouraged me. He told me that it's not a good idea to marry an older woman as women age quickly and by the time she is 35, I will be looking for a younger woman. My father was 29 and my mother was 19 when they got married. He recommends me to get married to someone 5-12yrs younger.

I couldn't believe he said that. I still want to marry her even though she is slightly older than me.

death? My husband and I have tried so hard to put things back together, but it's just not working. It works for about a month then it all falls apart, every time I see him now when I pick up the kids, he's so sad. I'm just at a loss, I don't know what or how to make it better. We've tried counseling, and we've split twice before and always came back. But now I just can't do it again, I just can't...I just feel so sad. Has this happened to anyone else? How do you get through it?

I have been with the ame guy for a while now and we just got engaged in June but evrything is not good. We moved into our house last month and he is never home.. He picks up my son fromdaycare on fridays and then once i get homefrom work he is gone. I dont know what time he comes home because i dont even wait up anymore but I was up last night and he came in at like 3 in the morning. He says that he wants to marry me but how can you want to marry somebody that you dont even spend time with? We had a really big argument about this yesterday and havent been talking to each other since then just walking past each other and not speaking. I love him to death and I know that he also loves me but I can only take so much of this. what should I do? I dont think that he is cheating or anything like that becasue I always have a feeling if somthing like that is going on and I dont have that feeling, but I am really scared that if this problem isnt fixed we wont make it to the altar. Help!

It's my birthday this coming Sunday, and I accidently found out what he's giving me! IT IS SO LAME! I know that's cruel and shallow, but I feel that after 15 years of marriage, he would know a little about me! I'm going to HATE it! And he never seems to be able to read me right! It's getting worse as the years go on...I talk to him about my feelings, and he stares at me like a deer in the headlights. I'm afraid if he gives this to me on Sunday, I might throw it back at him...I know that makes me sound like a b*tch, but really...does he even know my name for God's sake? Why would he buy me something that is SO NOT ME! I'll never wear it....if you're wondering why I havn't mentioned what "IT" is, it's because some might say, "OH! That's cute, you should love that!" I allways heard once you get maried and have kids your "intimate" time tends to fade away. I have four kids under the age of 8 and romance just ain't happening quite often enough for my liking. Is it just me and my wife or are others being cut off too. Also, how frequently do you get to have sex with your spouse? Daily, weekly, monthly? Just wondering if we are the only ones not gettin' any.

My hubby was home-schooled and I was not, when we fight he brings up some of the stuff that happened or I did as a teen that he didn't do. One of the things is he tells me that my mother's 4 yrs of booze abuse of "nothing, it doesn't matter" and the fact that the BF I had before him hit me. Both left mental scars. He knows how much these subjects hurt me yet he still brings them up and makes me cry terribly. I don't know how to deal with this, I wish I could find a better way. does anyone have an opnion? Should I be offended that my husband watches porn? We often watch it together. (it was that time of the month for me) and in the middle of the night, I found my husband in the living room watching porn and doing "you know what else". Should I be grateful that he's not going out to find a live woman to satisfy him, or do I have a right to be upset/jealous about this?

the other morning i was messing on the computer and i found a search he did, asking why he hates his wife. i asked him about it, he just kind of laughed. today he got completely nasty. i asked him "why do you hate me" he said because i am a *****. i asked him "if you hate me then why are you still here?" he said he wonders the same thing everyday. as far as i know, i have never done anything wrong, aside from social mistakes, you know, accidentally hurting a friend's feelings. stuff like that. but i do not hink i have done anything worthy of hate! so if he DOES hate me so much and i make him so miserable, why is he here? why can't he just leave already? we have always gotten along, believe me, i never saw this coming. but if he doesnt want to be here then i do not want him to be here. we have been together for nearly 10 years, i am so confused and hurt, stuck waiting to see what he decides, i am afraid to ask!

Found 2 my space sites with hubbys pic's both different. One states he is looking for dating and has a few buddies. 2 females,and 1 guy looking, with a similar malfunction, as him. Hubby says its not his my space and he knows nothing about it. (Remember) He has a recent picture on it. Is he lying? Is it possible it could be done by hacking?? I have a Ex that just did not give a damn about me. I always wanted to get back with, until he came over one night. My son was gone and he decided to bet the HELL out of me.
