That's a hard case to prove...pardon the pun.
Men can not steal what is already theirs by law.

Most of the answers here are incorrect. But as a common denomenator they are correct.
You do not "belong" to your husband.
If this happened, it is called rape, not domestic abuse.
If this did happen, contact the local PD as soon as possible and make a report, file charges and get a restraining order.
Stick to your guns: don't let him convince you to let him back into your life: he isn't worth it.
Seek the help of a counsler, or if you can't afford one, visit your local community services board, that's why they are there, you pay for them through your taxes.
If this did happen, it shouldn't have. I am truly sorry for you and the experience you suffered. It's important for you to know that this wasn't your fault and through time, you will heal.
I hope you do the right thing: don't keep it in, report it.
Most importantly, be careful, and again, I am sorry.
Good luck & Godbless.

That is a tough question, only not for the reasons you might think. Some states say that a husband by definition can not rape his wife. (I know, its ridiculous) He still can be charged with some sort of offense, though. For example, the UCMJ (military justice code) described rape as unwanted penetration by a man to a woman, not his wife. By statute we could not charge him with rape, we had to charge him with aggravated sexual battery. It has been a couple of years since I've worked in the field, but, there were still a couple of states that also had laws on the books where a husband could not be charged with rape.

Anjelkake has it all wrong--a wife NEVER belongs to her husband by law (unless she is writing from the middle east). It is TOTALLY a crime & he could get some serious prison time for it.
Infact, I can see a jury giving the husband a harsher sentence, considering he took all those vows to cherish, and honor, and all that, and throwing the book at him.
