The longer the relationship the greater the risk the couple will slip into bad habits. Too many men forget how to romance their wives. A man who treats his wife like a girlfriend is a man who will have a lover for a wife. Passion is not a given. It has to be cultivated and nurtured. It takes skill and knowledge. To develop that skill a couple needs to make the commitment to learn from one another and to discover what is pleasurable. A back rub for one woman may be more sexually satisfying than direct genital stimulation.

The length of a relationship is irrelevant it is the friendship that binds your hearts because if you are not good friends then at some time you or your partner will do something foolish or hurtful and the whole world will come tumbling down around your ears you will need to adapt in your relationship as it changes from that 1st year of burning passion to that familiar and comfortable passion , that time when you cant stand to be apart will become a thing of the past and you will find that you are still happy to see each other all the time but not yearning to . Love is ever evolving and time can make you become friends that cant live with out each other . but its still love its just not the same as day 1
