If communication is so important in a marriage, why women talk bad about thier husband behind his back, why do the write hateful stuff about them in journals and diaries. I mean if your unhappy with your spouse why not tell them and try to work them out versus hiding it from him?

it is some times difficult for women to tell men that they are unhappy because most times the man will turn it around and make it the woman fault as to why she is not happy.

maybe wives do this self-censorship b/c they KNOW they won't be listened to. The fact that they write diaries already show that they have given up on communicating to their significant other what's hurting them. Diaries are an outlet.

If a wife loves her husband, she may feel upset with him or angry sometimes and need to vent but not feel that it is important enough to hurt his feelings or pick a fight over.
