I'm 18 years old an i feel that all of the human race above 40 years of age criticize me for wanting to get engaged...but anyone else would be happy. why does it seem that people(including my mother) disagree with me being engaged when i know i dont want to get married until i'm out of college and i'll be in college for 4 to 5 years. so what's the big deal?

I've hurt my girlfriend by the less serious LIES.(Little Lies)
And I've grown to become very straight forward, but I hurt her. What can I SAY or DO to get that plain of TRUST back into our relationship.

We've been together 4 years and currently he is living out of state. He's moving back here next month and we are moving in together. He has never acted like he has cheated on me, but girls have left notes on his car after work and referred to him as "Baby" and he's gotten a lot more phone numbers from girls since he has been up there. He lived me for 3 years and has spent the last year out of state. We keep in contact regualrly and visit each other once a month, but reading the notes that girls leave on his car make me suspect he could be cheating. Neither one of us has ever cheated before (to my knowledge), we've been engaged for 2 years, going to be living together for the second time and at the beginning of the new year we are going to start planning our wedding. Could the notes and phone numbers mean anything, or am I just not trusting him enough? What do you think?

My boyfriend and I have been dating exclusively for more than a year. I have a house, he has a house. He had a 30 year marriage die in that house, and two failed relationships, so don't think I wish to live in that house. I left an 18 year marriage and moved to another state.(he was a drunk, then had an affair...) I would like us to buy a different house and sell the two we have...it would be cheaper, and frankly I don't wish to live alone any longer. We are both in our 50's, young, energetic, and $$ is no problem. Do I continue to stay in this relationship with no committment to live together, or do I set a dead line, or do I bring up the issue, and if it is not resolved, just bail??? Don't like living by myself, wish to live with him, but he feels rushed. Idea? Comments? Serious only, huh?

We have been a couple for the last four years but for more than half of that time have been in different countries. For the last 18 months we have been living together in the same country. My partner is now going to study in the US for one year and we had hoped that I would be going with him. As we are not married however, I was refused an F2 visa a few weeks ago, since which time we have been in a very stressful situation. He does not want to marry me to keep the US bureaucrats happy. We had not discussed marriage before this time but it has suddenly become a hot topic between us. He wants us to stay as a couple and get back together after 12 months but I refuse to. I do have a valid visitors' visa for the US and so can go to see him during the course of the year. Should I trust a person who is obviously willing for us to be separated instead of getting married so we can be together? Does he really love me? What do I do? Please can anyone advise?

My Dad died 8 weeks ago after fighting cancer for a year and a half. During his illness I spent almost all my spare time after work visiting my parents house as he was being for cared at home by my Mum and, especially near the end, she needed all the help possible.
Anyway, during that time my husband was left alone at home and as the months progressed he was turning to drink more and more as (he says) he was bored waiting for me to come home. Don't get me wrong he was fabulous - he did the washing, cleaning etc.
Well, the problem is that now that my Dad has died my husband is still drinking every single night - he doesn't drink spirits, just beer. I honestly thought that now would be a time for us getting our relationship back on track which is what i want more than anything in the world - instead I lie in bed beside a man who I don't even want to kiss (beer breath!). I've told him how i feel and he tells me he loves me and that he will cut back but its worse now than ever - help!

I love my man and I think he loves me. He used to cook spectacular meals for me all the time and used to call me, "Sweetie or Sweets". He hasn't called me that in years. We have been together for about 9 years now. Now he just calls me slim and sometimes when he is mad he calls me dummy or stupid. He has many aches and pains and tires easily. I have no complaints about our sex life. He is 40 and I am 30. I just want him to do all the little things and say sweet things to me again. He doesn't even say he loves me EVER! What can I do?

OK, I lied to my husband, I have been talking to my ex and several other guys behind his back... going so far as to erase the phone numbers from my phone so he wouldnt know. I have never spoke to any of these guys infront of my husband.

I lied to him about where i was going and told him i was taking care of our family business so i could go see my ex ( the one ive been lieing to him about). I closed the bar with my ex and didnt get home until about 6 am the next morning... I did all of this 1 day after my husband told me he was having trust issues with me..

Further more, my husband caught me making plans with another guy freind, I was making plans to drive 5 hrs to see this guy behind his back after i told him i wouldnt...

I did all of this all while at the same time i was the most hateful ***** i could be to my husband, I gave him every reason i could to let him know i hated him in every way i could... Now he thinks i cheated on him...

Why

I have started seeing someone with a depression after a failed marriage. He seems finding a lot of comfort from me but told me is still unstable at the moment, and we decided to take it slowly. What is the best way to support him?

My wife has asked me for a "DP" in sex. I am not sure what it is, or how to give that to her. She heard of it from her girlfriends, so I went along and said we could try it next time. She says it is the ultimate in excitement. Now I don't know what to do, because I was bluffing that I knew what it was.

Okay, I posted something in here a few days ago about my fiancee' and our breakup.(And that we are still living together) Okay, this will be kind of funny someday. One, we havent had any sexual contact in over 5 months. Two, she wasnt home and I was talking to a woman I met online and she coaxed me into phone sex. Well, there really wasnt much coaxing and it wasn't really phone sex, but for all puposes here, let's just say it was. Well, as soon as it was over my ex comes home. I did not expect her to be home, she was supposed to call me. She did not see anything at all, but she put two and two together. She is quite pissed. All of the sudden I am just like other men and I was cheating on her when we were engaged etc. I think it is just anger coming out. Thoughts, opinions? Please email me if you can si755 yahoo.com Thanks :)

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and since my 1st date with my wife my mom has disliked her.

My mom has said lies about my wife to family members to turn them against her. She always finds something wrong with my wife that she dislikes. My wife is 100% different than my mom and that’s why I married her!

6 months before our wedding, my mother told my wife that she and her family didn’t think my wife was good enough to marry me and that they didn’t want me to marry “someone like her”.

Needless to say my wife still dislikes my mother 2 years later. My mother doesn’t say anything to our face anymore about my wife, and my wife is polite to my mother, but my wife can’t stand my mother.

I have pushed my mother away and I don’t see her too often because of how she has treated my wife.

I don’t think my wife will get over this, she says she intends on being the best mother and wife just to rub it in my mother's face.

Any advice? Is it okay my wife dislikes my mom?

When I suggest a plan, my wife can only reply, "I don't know. I'll have to wait and see." This drives me crazy.
