yes if there are any off springs as the result, they should be fully considered in the contract.

What a load of old codswallop. He should be ashamed of himself and indeed he must have precious little else to do if he is spending his time filing such a bill.

NO. Very bad idea. Marriage terms are between the man and woman, not the law. I'm not saying that the law shouldn't step in sometimes, but as far as a bill about the length of marriage, no. That's why we have divorce. If there was a bill like this, there would be so many more sham marriages out there. The world is going to hell in a handbasket as it is, do you want to add to that??

Just like fishing license, huh? I'll go for it under the condition that if there are any off springs as the result, that they should fully considered in the contract. I'll another step to that, if couples divorce and they have kids, I think it should be a felony because the kids suffer.

A little paranoid are we? Or have you been burned by a woman before and are trying to protect others from the painful broken heart you experienced? Either way, this desperate attempt to fix a issue that is not yours to fix is best left alone. People dont need a contract to get married. Their contract is with God and to each other.

Try filing a bill that gets the government out of the business of regulating personal matters. Marriage is a private issue and should only be between two people and possibly their church.

No Mr "senator" but I would make Marriage Licences a lot harder to obtain so people weren't so flippant about entering into the union.

Distilling marriage to a contractual agreement? How interesting but what would you do about the children? Property etc...

yes and no.. because some people get married and don't really think about it. like my friend.. she got married to this loser of a guy that she thought was her prince charming.. but she had one baby who'd only 1 year old. if that law was in affect I'd be afraid for the babies sake because he is a horrible person, her husband. they are now in the proses of getting a divorce. but i like the law if i was getting married.. because i know how to wait for the right guy.. he-he

You're a Senator? Oh PLEASE!!!!!

There is no way that I would fall for something like this! I'd rather stay single.

You must be a senator on another planet!

sure, this way it's an easy way out if someone wants out. but i'd make it nul/void...free...if it's not renewed...simple, no longer married.

i'm sure most that are unhappy would say yes to that..specially when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.
