Last April I paid for my wife to go on a nice 3 week holiday in her native Philippines, so she could visit her folks with our son. While she was away I discovered some papers indicating that she had had an abortion in Februray. When I confronted her when she got home she admitted that yes she had been seeing another guy since mid 2003. We now arranging for a divorce. Trouble is my wife seems to expect the same financial priviledges since before I discovered her infidelity, and she expects me to pay for her UK citizenship application. What should I do ?

Is the relationship flawed from day one ? Is it lack of true love ? Or is most relationship a classic permanent decision made in temporary circumstances ?

My husband seems distant. He does not get intimate with my anymore. If I ask him to do something, go to eat, watch a movie, etc. he makes excuses not to go. He says he still loves me, but I can't figure it out.

Or is that asking for trouble. I'm not married, but I was talking with my mother about taking a Reformation Tour later in life, without my spouse if I ever get married. The trip is more of a time of reflection and I want to be left alone during that time. She said I'm being selfish and I'm going to hurt his feelings. Am I? I figure I am an adult that has a mind and interests of my own, but I also don't want to go around hurting people's feelings.

My wife says she loves me and I am a wonderful person but she just does not feel the love from me. I have put up an admirable effort I think since she had an affair last year. She says she just wasnt getting the attention and the love that she needed from me. Classsic case of the husband works hard and the wife has to much free time on her hands so she has an affair blaims it on me casue I dont love her and give her attention all day casue I'm at work uses drugs goes into depression and says I am the reason for her life being a mess. Well she left to her parents and says she is not coming back and she sounds serious. She is so mad I dont even want to talk to her but I still love her.

She says there is someone out there that we be happy with me and I agree, not to be arrogant but I am a pretty good catch everyone tells me even her. I just cant give her enough and I cant make her happy and I dont think anyone can.

Am I better off to just let her go after 4 years of marriage?

I am a heterosexual female and my boyfriend (of three years) and I would like to start a family some day without getting married. Can I get some feedback from other hetersexual couples who have done this? How does not being married affect things (i.e. children, relationship, etc...)? I've heard so many people say they were happy until they got married. Is it the marriage that ruins these relationships? By the way, we have been living together during most of our relationship.

If you have any stories or suggestions please help. I want it to be something out of the blue. We are not into inviting anyone else if you know what I mean.

My husband and I had the perfect marriage for 15 years. He went to Iraq and began an affair with a woman. When he had R&R, he went to visit her in Germany and then came home to the US. He confessed when he was home and wanted to work it out with me.

This affair has gone on for over a year and both are in the States now. He has tried ending things with her, but they always manage to find a way back to one another.

My husband says that he regrets what he did and I forgave him because he was in Iraq. I see a lost, confused person and I don't want to abandon him when he is in such a fragile state of mind. Plus, I don't want to give up on my family. When he left before, our daughter tried cut her wrists. He tried to end it with the woman, but she manipulated him to stay.

My husband said that he wouldn't have started with her if they met in the States. He says he doesn't have feelings for her and doesn't love her. He always comes back to me and things seem normal.

seriously... i wanted to ask this to a person in particular, but i don't want her to know that i'm even thinking about her. she put up with soo much i never would have. they messed around after work in the restaurant. never got to go on dates. couldn't have a real relationship. couldn't talk on the phone except on his drive to and from work. couldn't text each other. had to hide thier relationship from everyone. did she really beleive that we had all of these problems before her. why didn't they think that maybe they were making problems that were allready there worse. then they couldn't talk on the phone at all because i got the bill. it went on long after the paper trail disappeared. why would a woman love a man that wouldn't bring her out in the light of day while he went home to pretend to be faithful to his wife. what kind of love is that? why did she "wait" for him, only to have him leave her, because he couldn't respect her enough to deal with how the world judge him.

My husband proposed to me two days after our first date and we were married 6 weeks later. We have been married for 2 years and have never even had a fight. Not to say that we never will of course! A lot of people thought I was crazy but it turned out to be the smartest thing I've ever done.

At my husband's bacholer party, his dad and uncles pretty much planned the night around watching a "girls gone wild" video. This was the night before he was supposed to swear his life to me, does anyone else think this was dsisrespectful of his family?

It has been like this for the past 3 years after I had a severe auto accident, as well as going thru menopause. Nothing seems to help and he seems angry sometimes and sarcastic. I simply feel empty and not humane, lacking these feelings. I have tried seeing a doctor about this to no avail and am wondering if I will ever get my life back. Does anyone else feel this way? What have you done?

My husband has been having an affair for over a year. He has gone back and forth between us and I have chosen to forgive him.

He told me that he ended things with her in March. I acquired the password to his email and found letters from her from March until the present. It talked about how they had been meeting behind my back, marriage and our divorce. And she planned on moving closer when her lease is up.

I called the other woman and tried to convince her that he was going to end things with her. She says she loves him and wont back down.

My husband confessed, so I tried to end things with him and told him to sign the papers. He refuses to sign and has asked to come back home.

He hasn't contacted the other woman to tell her things are over. He was with her last week, left her and came home. He says he doesn't love her. He says he wants to avoid a fight with her and doesn't want her to cry and beg him to stay with her. Is it over for the two of them?

I am getting married in Ohio. This will be my second marriage because the last girl just wanted a green card. My fiance knows the whole story Do I have to provide this information on the new marriage documents? They ask about a previous marriage and divorce decree. I do not like to look on my past and do not feel that they should need to know. So do I have to tell them and what happens if I dont? Thanks so much for your help!

I am refering to relationships. I feel the more I love someone the greater the anger (hate) I have towards them when they betray me, use me, just generally s*** on me. My partner feels like I'm crazy for wishing he'd die at times. I don't really want him too, but I get so angry and hurt when he acts like I'm lower than a piece of dirt. I need to feel like my love isn't one sided. ( we've been together 11 years)
