My husband seems distant. He does not get intimate with my anymore. If I ask him to do something, go to eat, watch a movie, etc. he makes excuses not to go. He says he still loves me, but I can't figure it out.

Have you tried seducing him? Spicing things up a bit? Using sexy lingerie? Talking dirty to him? Don't always wait for him to seduce you, he maybe got a bit tired of all the work he used to have to do just to get you "in the mood"!
The problem these days is that most women expect to be treated like princesses, pampered every day, but at the same time men want to be treated like kings once in a while, too. It's a give'n'take game you must play in the life of a married couple.
And after a long absence from the field, a man's little player may have lost its libido- only way to get it back is to experiment sensuality in all its forms.
Good Luck with it, and if all else fails try using some really sexy clothing and go shopping or out with your friends so he can finally see what he's missing out on.

Listen to your intuition. Keep an eye on him - check the phone bills, his email, his wallet and pockets, the bank accounts. See if he is wearing different clothes. Pay attention to see what he is doing. If you feel something is not right, then something is most probably not right and you will need to do some investigation to find out what is going on.

Well you have to find ways to make him want you and do things with you again...How about dressing up in nothing and greeting him at the door one night with a big bow in your hair or a rose in your teeth
