At my husband's bacholer party, his dad and uncles pretty much planned the night around watching a "girls gone wild" video. This was the night before he was supposed to swear his life to me, does anyone else think this was dsisrespectful of his family?

Yeah, but he'd chosen never to flung a fling before, and we were both making a sacred decision the next day. How is there any excuse for looking at naked women the day before promising to charrish me for the rest of his life?

A bachelor's party is a rite of passage. Everyone has one. It sounds like it was more a party planned BY the dad and the uncle FOR the dad and the uncle. At least they were watching "Girls Gone Wild" on a VIDEO instead of doing it in person with strippers or hookers. You also know about it instead of everyone keeping the details a secret.

I'm sure it did not change his feelings about you in any way, shape, or form. However, if you start your marriage out by freaking out and trying to control every little thing, his feelings will change.

In the grand scheme of things, this is not a big deal. For a bachelor party it actually sounds very tame (and pretty boring). Have a good laugh about it and get on with a happy marriage. Good luck.

Well, that's sort of what a bachelor party is about. And you must know that a lot of bachelor parties get a lot crazier than just watching porn.

Is this really such a big deal? Your hubby didn't go out and get the video. He just went along with the party that his relatives planned for him. It's not as if he went to a strip club or even went out clubbing.

Try to remember: this is the way that guys bond. They did a little ogling and hooting, probably drank a few beers, made jokes at the poor groom's expense. Besides, a video is all about fantasy, not reality. It's pretty harmless.

It sounds a little like you're feeling insecure about your husband's fidelity or his vows. He loves you. He married you. You don't have to like that he watched the video, but don't make it into something worse than it is. Don't make him feel like he has betrayed you when he hasn't.

Good luck.

You are definitely overreacting. This is pretty mild compared to some bachelor parties I've heard about...at least they didn't have hookers there! Girls Gone Wild is pretty tame also compared to what they could have watched. This was considered a respectible bachelor party, you should be THANKFUL that this is all that went on. Let's not also forget the fact that your husband has NO CONTROL over the entertainment at his party...that is up to the ones that throw said party. Your in laws showed much respect towards both of you. You should thank them instead of reacting to this.

Honey, get down off of the cross, someone else needs the wood! It is just a tradition.. it was his BACHELOR party, not a tupperware party. I cannot, for the life of me understand why women get so bent out of shape over this... he watched a video.. WOW! Did it totally change his feelings and committment toward you? NO? I didn't think so. Get over it and stop taking life so seriously, you are on the best ride in the park (life) and you're missing the best parts because you are too busy worried about what is happening behind you. Peace.

It was a bachelor party, Amanda. Just be glad they didn't have live strippers or hookers. A bachelor party is supposedly the guys "last fling" before going into a life of commitment to you. Don't take it personally.

Atleast all they did was watch it. They could have been at a strip club and he could have been receiving a lap dance. I really think you might be overreacting a little bit. I have heard far worse things.
I promise you Amanda, he still LOOKS at lots of other women, and probably naked ones in magazines and online when you are not around.....he is a man! You should not be so defensive.
