Common law marriages are OUT OF DATE and have been repealed in many states, including stuffy old Virginia.

Generally, you've got to be married in order to get the benefits of marriage nowadays. So many people are living together without marriage that the states have been REPEALING the existance of any "common law" marriage.

Check with a divorce attorney who practices in Florida if you really need a certain answer to your question --and get ready for a shock!

Not unless it was a common law marriage from another State and then you moved to Florida. That's the only way Florida recognizes Common Law Marriages.

yes you are but i mean whats the point of having a common law marriage, it means nothing. it is not a real marriage.it is a cheap way of saying he loves you.
