Need I say more?? She will be here for a week, thankfully she is staying in a hotel. She is really condescending, I really can't stand her. We moved out of state (from eastern NC to the midwest) last summer, and she was an absolute nightmare. Now she's staying for a week! Any advice on how to survive? There isn't too much for entertainment around here!

My stepsons went to there grandmothers for about a month 1/2 and when they got back the oldest who is 4 told his mom when he went to sleep to kiss Jesus good night and that he went to church. Now my husband and I and there mom our not religious people at all and I don’t know how we should address this. I think it is kind of wrong that she did that knowing we are not religious people but I will let it go. I think it could have been easier to address at home than how the grandparents did it. My question is now that it is said how we should address it I think that he is young and that getting to into the religion would be against what we think. I think we should just tell him that some people believe certain things and daddy and mommy don’t and so on. My husband and I disagree a little he thinks that if he wants to go to church and stuff we should take him and I think he is to young and that should wait tell he is older.

Hello,

I want to be able to record things about my daily life and whatnots. Ever since I started writing about my life through my perspectives and thoughts, my mother has been snooping around like the scooby's nose. She finds it and reads my inner most and sensitive thoughts, which are sometimes narrcisstical and nostalgic. But that it just the way I am.

How can stop my mother from sneaking into my room when I'm outside of it or at school. Its an invasion of privacy. I tell her not to do this, I don't feel angry in particular, knowing how over-protective she is and I never get pissed. Instead I feel shame.

For example, when I was having sexually active thoughts I wrote them down knowing that I would like to look back before I had gotten sexually mature and learn from it. Now I am. Well, I turned sexually mature when I was 13 now I'm fifteen - I havn't written about it since and I feel I have missed out a lot.

Talking to her doesn't work. Can you help me?

I had 2 dogs I had they wore in the backyard running and he would contact the pound saying they would bark all day long, he did this several times. I had to get letters from the rest of the neighbords incl. one right next to me, saying that my dogs were not barkers. The pound would come before dutie, during lunch, after dutie and play with the dogs over the fence without me knowing & said that there was no problem. They sent him a letter to back off, because he had threaten me to take me to court. He once threaten my child with a golf club for waiting for the school bus across the street from his house, (by the way he lives on the back/left of my house)with friends in middle school and accused the kids of throwing his garbage on the floor at the time we wore having problems with cats & raccoons. He sees me in a store & comes by me on purpose, he sees my daughter with my sister & says you're taking too long checking out hurry. My kid goes to school with his grandson and feels horrible.

MY SISTER IN LAW IS THE MOST INSULTIVE PERSON I EVER MET. SHE SAYS THINGS WITHOUT THINKING. SHE IS HURTING EVERYONE AROUND HER. I GUESS SHE DIDN'T HAVE NOT ENOUGH LOVE IN HER CHILDHOOD. WHEN WE WERE AT A FAMILY DINNER AND I TOLD MY NEPHEW THAT I HAD MY PICTURE TAKEN WITH A BLUE ANGEL. (PICTURE TURNED OUT GREAT.) MY NEPHEW TOLD "KIM" ABOUT WHAT I SAID AND SHE TOLD HIM "YOU KNOW WHO NOT TO BELIEVE" HE PROTESTED ON MY BEHALF. AGAIN "KIM SAID" YOU KNOW WHO NOT TO BELIEVE". WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN RIVALS SINCE SHE MET MY BROTHER "RON". I HAVE A COLLEGE EDUCATION. I HAVE 3 DEGREES IN AVIATION ELECTRONIC AND SCIENCE. I GRADUATED IN 2004. 2005 GRADUATED FROM TOP GUN AND WENT ON 2 TOURS. AND NOW I'M A MOTHER OF TRIPLETS AND TWINS ON THE WAY. I'VE WORKED HARD AT WHAT I DO. MY HUSBAND DAVID SAYS THAT SHE IS JEALOUS AND SHE AIN'T WORTH THE TROUBLE. MY BROTHER "RON" SAID HER MOUTH GETS HER IN A LOT OF TROUBLE. AND SHE IS SOMEONE WHO NEEDS TO GROW UP AND ACT LIKE AN ADULT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

I have an uncle who is two years older than me. He is a hottie and we have always been close. One day we were passing in the hallway and like our faces were so close, so I kissed him and he kissed me back. We haven't talked about it, but we both liked it. We know that we shouldn't take this further and I won't ( I hope) but I liked his kiss. I could and want to kiss him again. He smiles at me more now but doesn't try anything. I'm torn between being like kissing relative and morally leaving it alone.

I do mean french kiss.

i have pretty good hunch my husband was preparing to have another affair. i read some emails and he denied them-not knowing i had been in his email. he won't talk to me and tell me what he is missing from our relationship to make him look elsewhere, he only denies everything and acts like i am paranoid. tonite while i am at work (still here) he figured out i have been in his email somehow because he changed all his passwords. i feel like if he is engaging in sexual talk with local women then I need to leave. the problem is we have a 18 month old baby. i don't want to leave him and deny her growing up without her dad in the house but i also don't wanna feel like i am a fool. i am also worried he will be angry when i get home. please give me some advice. i just don't know what to do. how do you have a relationship w/o trust, how can i trust him or he trust me for invading his privacy. what can i do that is best for my child?

why is it that when a teenager has something to say about their parents, they are very likely to be shot down by a bunch of angry, cynical, sneering crabs who say things like "shut up you ungrateful kid. if you're smart you'll just shut up. SHUT UPPPP!!! parents are LAWWWWWW"

obviously, i did not come onto a site called "ask yahoo" to shut up. i have a concern/frustration/inquiry and just because i am younger than my parents i don't have to "shut up". being a "youngen", i still feel that i am entitled to speak as all of you, and i strongly feel that asking a sincere question only to be "shut up"-ed is not appropriate. i mean, yes, i have a grievance against my parents. does that mean that i'm a spoiled little b****?
why couldn't we all be just a little more compassionate and understanding here? don't we come on this site to help others, not spew our hatred and sinister sarascm from the safety of our spinny-chairs?

thank you. if i get answers that say "shut up", i'll just..laugh

Let's say there, are two sisters. And one of the sisters marries a guy, and they have a baby, then the guy cheats on the wife with one of her sisters, and she gets pregnant. What would the relationship of the children be....cousin/sibling..which one would be correct? Or would they be considered both?

I walked up to meet my daughter after work tonight at 11. There was a girl passed out on the steps of Burger King where she works. Some friends of hers arrived and one guy picked her up and they carried her to their car. The girl remains like a rag doll. I see that her friends are holding her in such a way for her to puke. Then she is just laying there on the pavement in the parking lot with her friends waiting for her to come to. So eventually my daughter comes out (I didn't go in because I had the dog with me) and I tell her about it. She goes back inside and tells her manager who comes out and asks me about it. Then my daughter and I walked home. Anyways, I've been kind of worried about the girl because she was so totally lifeless and I was wondering if I did enough or if I should have personally gone over to check her out or just minded my own business and said nothing at all.

She says I'm going to be an unfit mother and wants to take my baby away after its born. She said that its my fault that he joined the Army and will be trained in Infantry beginning in August. I felt so proud of him when he told me that he qualified for Infantry and told her that I wanted to marry him in his dress uniform. She said terrible things to me and I started to cry. She said how could I hope to protect a child from harm if her son grows up to be influenced by a silly girl who thinks that sending him to die in a useless war is something to be prould of. I met him when we were both 13 in day camp and our friendship blossomed into love. Only since this May when our mothers gave us permission to express our love for each other have we exceeded the any boundaries. His mother is in denial because he told her he was enlisting. I dont want anything to happen to the father of my child and now I feel really scared that something will happen to him. I LOVE HIM!!

Mom, Dad, and I see movies weekly. Well today we were going to see Harry Potter, but then mom came home and brought this to my attention.

We have a PT Cruiser and each time we goto the movie, Mom needs to unpack the ramp and load the wheelchair into the vehicle. Since the movie is 2-1/2 hours long, I told her I wasn't going to spend that time sitting in an uncomfortable manual wheelchair, when she could just spend 5 minutes unpacking the ramp and loading in my electric wheelchair. She was giving me every possible excuse in the book of why she didn't want to do it. Then she started talking about Rick Hanson, then started talking about how I should give back to the community, then saying how I don't do enough to keep myself active. I just said "I'm doing what I can, but if you think I'm not doing enough, then fine, I'll stop everything I'm doing and vegetate myself. Just to prove my point." How the hell do I keep up with that crap, and what the hell do I say to her?

I was a teen mom at 17. He left me when I was 3 months pregnant. I was still home so I was ok. When my daughter was 8 mths old I met the guy who is now my husband, since she was so young she's alway known him as "daddy". Thing is I have to tell her, too many people know he is not her father and I'm afraid she'll find out from someone else. I've always said I would tell her at 10 years old, she's old enough to understand and too young to rebel too bad. How do I tell her, where do I start? We also have 2 other kids. please help

His wife passed away 2 months ago. He is only 34 years old, has been with her for 10 years. He's tried counseling and grief groups, but found them unhelpful. All of his other friends are avoiding him now. I talk to him daily, but I don't know how to help him. We live in different states, and I feel like he's been abandoned by everyone (even his cat died about 2 weeks ago). I don't know what to say or do to help him see that life is still worth living. He has so much sadness in him, not just the loss of his wife, but the loss of the future he had planned, the memories of the past they shared, the idea that he will spend the rest of his life alone. He has a 19 year old step-son that spends most of his time with his girlfriend. They don't seem to be sharing their grief together.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to help ease his suffering and reasons for him not to kill himself. I just don't know what to tell him anymore.

I do not have children, however I am the child of negligent parent. Father left, never looked back. Mother was more concerned with partying with losers and ended up murdered. Why aren't children enough to make someone clean up and fly right? I believe that I would do anything for my children, when I have them. Why do so many people fail the best things in their lives?

I'm going to be a freshmen in high school this upcoming school year. My family is having a vacation that I don't want to go on. Its not like I just want to sit at home or something. My boyfriend may be moving across the country and he finds out if he is or not when I would be gone. When my vacation is doesn't have cell phone reception so I wouldn't find out untill I get back. ( I've been dating him for a year) The vacation is pretty much being at the beach for 10 days and I won't be able to see my friends and talk to my friends... The reason why I have such a big problem with it is because I go to cheer camp right when I would get back (I can't give up camp b/c my parents already spent a ton of money on it).... Does anyone have any advice or ideas for what I could do to convince my parents to let me stay in my home town (not just in my own house)?
