I had 2 dogs I had they wore in the backyard running and he would contact the pound saying they would bark all day long, he did this several times. I had to get letters from the rest of the neighbords incl. one right next to me, saying that my dogs were not barkers. The pound would come before dutie, during lunch, after dutie and play with the dogs over the fence without me knowing & said that there was no problem. They sent him a letter to back off, because he had threaten me to take me to court. He once threaten my child with a golf club for waiting for the school bus across the street from his house, (by the way he lives on the back/left of my house)with friends in middle school and accused the kids of throwing his garbage on the floor at the time we wore having problems with cats & raccoons. He sees me in a store & comes by me on purpose, he sees my daughter with my sister & says you're taking too long checking out hurry. My kid goes to school with his grandson and feels horrible.

This is harrassment and subjectable to punitive damages. Start keeping a record of his transgressions and the next time he threatens you with court, tell him you'd be glad to have your disagreements settled in a court of law by a judge. Then countersue him right back.
If you can, get the records from the pound complaints, the letters from neighbors and video tape him harrassing your children. They are children, for goodness sakes, and what he does borders on stalking.

Have you tried suing him for harassment? It sounds like you have a case! Collect letters from the neighbors ( as you already have) showing that the things he accuses you of have no basis in fact. Get a record of the times that he called about the dogs and no problem was found. Keep a diary of incidents such as the one in the grocery store.
Check with legal aid or a lawyer and ask them the best way to proceed.
Also --- it seems to me that this man is mentally unstable, so I would not confront him directly. At the very least, it seems that you would be able to get a restraining order so that he does not approach you in public.
Realize that a restraining order will not necessarily prevent the behavior but at least you would be able to call the police and report him for violating the order.
Check with a lawyer and the police to be sure what you need to do.

The only thing I can think of is to annoy the hell out of him and wait for him to get pissed then call the cops on his but! After you get him a few times file a restraining order and keep pissing him off discreatly let him violate the order and have it include a distance clause where he can't live there.I don't know why people have to pull this kind of crap but all you can do is fight fire with fire. There are a lot of things you can do to get even too. Spray Round up over the fence and kill his grass you can even write in grass with that stuff. Squirt brake fluid on his car, it will cause the paint to peel. Turn off his main breaker outside the house when you know he isn't home and won't be for a little while, freezer is a mess. Good luck I would just piss him off let him get mad and come to my house and kick the crap out of him.

Though my neighbor is a dick, it's not as bad as yours. My neighbor has called the city on us because they had 6 feet of our property when we moved in and I was having the yard redone and needed to know where the line was. They have called about my cats and my pool. Though this is beans compared to your neighbor, I have thought about moving already, cause no amount of bs is worth it. We should be able to live our lives without crappy neighbors. So, is it feesible that you find another place? Good luck dear, sounds like you need it. But if he starts messing with your kids, it's time to put him in his place. You hear about the old man who shot that kid in his yard? It was in the news.

Report him to a mental home lol
You can contact the police because he threatened your child with a golf club and get a restraining order on him because you fear for your children's safety

That sucks!! Go to his house and tell him straight in the face that he can't bother your kids and you won't let that and you'll beat his a** if he does such a thing again, show him that you're very protective of your house and kids.
OR whats if your kids make friends with his grandson? Maybe this would be a help!

I agree with the idea of a restraining order, You can also take him to court for harrassment and malicious prosecution. Don't give him advance notice about taking him to court just have him served. Just be sure to have all your documentation together to prove your case.

You're doing just fine except for the irritation. Keep on doing things the right way sans the irritation.

Time to start taking notes of dates and times my friend.
This sounds like harasment. When you have a list of things (dates and times are important) you can prove, then make a formal complaint.
Your children are in danger and I suspect others as well. Time to get heavy....but for god's sake keep it legal.

File a harassment suit against him. Have other neighbors write statements for you to take. Call police. Watch your dogs he might poison them.
