oh they reach an age where they make visitation unpleasant for the parent if they dont want to be there.

for example, if the father bad mouths the mama, family, picks on thier hair, clothes, friends, etc. the child reaches the point where they simply dont want to be around the father.

legally, its about 12-14 in most states, but thats only the age where their opinion is 'considered' or allowed in a court of law. at that age... if they dont want to go, and the father cant take a hint, the child will let them know or tell them they are 'busy' that weekend.

believe me, when they get older, the child WILL get more vocal... cant force visitation on a teenager, i dare 'em to try it.

The person above me is not right. It is 15/16. She can decide who she wants to live with full time from then.

And don't try and sway her decision. If you manipulate your daughter you'll be sorry.
