I walked up to meet my daughter after work tonight at 11. There was a girl passed out on the steps of Burger King where she works. Some friends of hers arrived and one guy picked her up and they carried her to their car. The girl remains like a rag doll. I see that her friends are holding her in such a way for her to puke. Then she is just laying there on the pavement in the parking lot with her friends waiting for her to come to. So eventually my daughter comes out (I didn't go in because I had the dog with me) and I tell her about it. She goes back inside and tells her manager who comes out and asks me about it. Then my daughter and I walked home. Anyways, I've been kind of worried about the girl because she was so totally lifeless and I was wondering if I did enough or if I should have personally gone over to check her out or just minded my own business and said nothing at all.

I think I would have made sure the manager was going to do something about it. Like making sure the girl had medical attention. If he was not , then I would have taken charge & butted in. My son almost died from alcohol poisoning when he was a teen. I am sure if that girl was your daughter you would want a caring adult to get involved. It's a hard situation when you havent been faced with it before. Please do not feel bad about your choice. We all wish at times we made other choices. I hope she is fine & you did tell someone!

I would have called the police or taken her to the hospital. I almost lost my son because his friends were afraid of getting caught drinking and the other stuff they had in their apartment. I moved him out the same day and let them all know how I felt. Now they treat him like crap, but at least my son is alive and well. They are all still partying just as hard if not harder and have the nerve to be pissed at him. We'll see where they end up in about 5 years, if they don't die from all the partying.

There is nothing you can do about it now, atleast your daughter told the manager, I am sure he/she got her the help she needed. you could ask your daugher to get intouch with the manager to find out what happend. It is okay we all do things that in some situations we wish we could have done diffrently but we can't change the past we just have to move forward.

What would you have wanted another mother to do if that was your daughter? Just ignore her? Next time, call 911.

You could have at least gone over and asked them what she took and checked to make sure she was breathing.

You take her to the emergency room of your local hospital, end of story. I wouldn't want to live with the guilt of knowing I could have saved someone.

oh its fine. you did the right thing. i mean, thats all you could do. if they really needed help, the teenagers would have called the police or an ambulance, no matter how much trouble they would have gotten into.
