She loves safari animals and wants to be a vet in Africa. I don't really want to get her anymore toys, but I really want to get her something that she'll love. I was thinking about adopting a cheetah in her name, but some people thought that might be a little to old for her. I'd appreciate any ideas.

No I'm not a thief, but where is a good place to put your keys.
Obviously you don't want them stolen when you enter the water.

I dont kno what happened, but before, sleeping over was a lot less complicated.
Only, a couple of months later, my parents are totally against me sleeping over at a friends house, even if they are the same sex.
Im only 14! I have so much more life to live, and all my closest friends sleepover and I really feel so left out.
I've tried to convince my parents numoerous times, last time I tried, I packed my bag and tried to leave the house. My dad dragged me back and tried to hit me and throw a chair at me. I really dont want to go through that hell again, but I really cant stand this anymore
Its not fair, please help me

I have been sleeping nude for over 2 years. Mum, Dad and my brother have all seen me and that's ok bc they are family. My 3 cousins are coming to stay and the 2 girls will be sharing my room. Mum says I can't sleep nude bc they might get embarrassed. What would you do? Would you be embarrassed if you shared a room with someone who slept nude?

My boyfriend's dad is very abusive to him. He has a past with such abuse. During 4th ofJuly of 2006, he told me that his father was blowing punches at him and abused him for NO REASON at all until he was bleeding. He had to write about that incident in his personal diary for his teacher- teacher told the police about and they talked to his father about the abuse. He didn't deny it and nothing else happened, other than the fact that the cops just told my boyfriend to tell them if anything else happens between him and his father.

And just yesterday after I left his house... My boyfriend told me that his dad was punching him. This morning at school, I saw a red mark on the side of his forehead and a big gash inside his lip. It made me very upset...

What do I do? I'm too scared to tell the police on him / seek help. I've asked my boyfriend too why doesn't he tell? But he said he's too scared of the consequences from his father.

What do I do? Please help.

I have been with my partner for almost 2 years now and we are planning to get married.

She has a wonderful 5 yr old daughter whose father has no contact with at all. For almost a year now she has been calling me dad.

Question is. I would like to adopt her when we get married, The fathers name does not appear on the birth certificate. What procedures do I need to go through?

He never gets a baby-sitter when he wants to take me out to dinner, so for Valentine's day and my birthday, he's taken me out to dinner, and his son too. I wouldn't mind so much, but he has taught his son no manners whatsoever and ends up just yelling at him half the time.

I consider myself a humanitarian. I contribute to three charities every year. I feel empathy for the homeless and can see that the problem is increasing nationwide (especially here in Hawaii).

Yet each day I ignore a homeless man who "lives" in a tiny park behind my condo building. When I take my daily walk I pass right by him. He is challenged because he usually talks to himself. Rain or shine that poor man is out there by himself. He must be terribly lonely.

My thing is I don't want to get involved. I am busy and I don't want any obligation. But when I walk past him each day I feel guilty and hypocritical. After all, "charity begins at home".

Any suggestions/comments?

I don't have any spouse or kids, just a mom, dad and sister.

Does it just go to my parents?

Seriously dating an awesome guy from a very abusive background, like things you read on the news abusive. He's forgiven his parents and has a relationship with them, but as we get more serious, I wonder if he's more likely to be abusive as a parent, since he knows no other way. He's pretty laid back and easygoing and a great person. Is there an increased likelihood children from abusive backgrounds repeat that cycle, or is it usually overcome?

My mother and I are estranged. We last spoke in January, which was the first time I'd seen her in 2 years. She's had financial difficulties, and I didn't want my sister to be stuck with the burden alone, so I've been paying half of her bills for several months through my sister. She is aware that I help support her, but has never acknowledged it in any way. My sister and I have agreed that our mother needs to pay her own way going forward.

So now mother's day is coming up and someone made the comment to me that I'm obligated to send a card or to otherwise acknowledge that she is my mother. I don't wish her ill, but this woman is someone that I don't like or trust and I know that I'm better off being far away from her, where she can't hurt me mentally or emotionally anymore, as she always has.

So... what's my obligation? It hurts to have no relationship, but I've lived like this so long that I'm used to having no parents (father was absent and died many years ago).

Thanks

Ok, if you get confused I'm really sorry.
Next month is a very busy month for me. For one, I have a doctor's appointment Thursday May 10th at 3:00PM and will have to take time off from work for that (2 hours to be exact as I get off at 5). Also, my 21st birthday is Wednesday May 16th and my boss has suggested I take the following Monday off (the 21st) just in case of a hangover from the weekend I plan on having. My brother's elementary school graduation is Wednesday May 23rd and I plan on taking time off to be able to go see him graduate. My mother informed me today that my cousin in Houston, Texas (we live in central Georgia) will be graduating Friday May 25th and told me to also take time off to fly to her graduation. I told her I wouldn't be able to make the trip because I'll be taking enough time off from work as it is. I've only been at my job for 4 months and didn't want to make an early bad impression. Continued.....
