No, sometimes the oldest is the brat. The oldest has been known to tease the youngest just so the youngest gets in trouble - making the oldest look like an "angel".

Sometimes, but not always. Some parents with multiple kids spoil the youngest one, and give him or her everything. Others do the opposite, and the youngest never gets new clothes and always wears the hand-me-downs and is the scapegoat for everything. It depends on the family.

Nope. I have a friend whose middle sib is the brat. Same in mine.

I've known families where the oldest was the brat.

No, not usually but it depends on how much attention they need. Usually the youngest is the neediest because they are babied throughout most of their life.

YES!!!! My brother who is 22 is still living at home. My parents still pay his car ins., buy his groceries, give him money, and pay for any car repairs. He is into some bad choices in life right now and they could care less! But when I was 22 and pregnant I got kicked out of the house. He comes home drunk vomitting and they say nothing!

No, I'm the youngest and I'm the only responsible one, only one to go to college, etc. I don't think birth order matters. Upbringing matters.
