hello my names nathan.

Recently i have been able to ignore my mother and her nagging at me constantly but now im that bit older and that bit more confident and doing my own things my mothers starting to lose her temper with me.

For example. Recently i have spent a considerable amount of money (That i have saved up and was given a grant towards) on a computer. Now i like to build my own and certain issues have appeared where i need to spend that bit more on a extra few parts.

Because of this i told my mother about it.
And well it ended up with her Kicking certain objects around the house and screaming at me in such a manner that i couldn’t put up with.

This is MY money, not hers. Mine i saved it up, i worked for it.
And shes not ever listening to what i have to say, shes always the one who is right and im always wrong.

And i cant move out because im taking a college course.

Any information or tips on how to deal with her would be greatly taken.

Thanks

March 14th my daughter awoke vomiting and did 3 times. But, it was minimal and didn't smell like "sick" vomit. 4 hours later she seemed perfectly fine. On the 19th she had a rash covering her belly, upper thighs and underarms. It was a solid red rash. It dissappeared within an hour. Many nights since the 14th she'll awake and feel like she's going to be sick but doesn't vomit. Occassionally during the day she feels the same. She sat with her head in a bucket for a half hour the other day. I felt so sorry for her! I called the dr's office 4 days ago and they said it's a virus. She acts perfectly fine most of the time. Thinking back I know that my daughter has had moments where out of the clear blue she'll yell out... I'm sick. She'll vomit and then she's perfectly fine. That's happened about 3 times since she's been 1. Until now where it seems very consistant. Has this happened to your child? What could be wrong? Thanks!

My 48 year old mother is doing cocaine. This is the 2nd time in about 3 years I found it in her bedroom. The first was when I was pregnant, and I told her if she didn't stop she would not be allowed to see my son when he was born. She stopped (or at least i think she did) and she has a wonderful relationship with him now. (he is 2 and adores her) She moved in with my husband and I to help with our son, and to help her as she is disabled and not able to work. She went to stay with her parents for the weekend, and I snooped, and found it again. I need advise from anyone who has been anywhere close to this situation. She's my mother, I don't think I can kick her out, she has no one to take care of her, but my son is my #1 priority, and how can I let her care for him, or even be around him if she is on drugs?

As a step-mother, should I expect recognition on Mother's Day? The divorce paperwork says that Mother's Day is spent with the mother, and I understand that. But should I be upset/angry/disappointed if my step-daughter doesn't even acknowledge me? On the other hand, what about her step-father? She treats him as well if not better than her dad?

I'm staying with mother in law now and a problem has come up. Basically, we've reunited with estranged brother and law, wife and our Godson. Its very very tentative, as they have problems with our dog and basically create a load of problems for us associated with the dog.

We met up once in a neutral place where dog was not allowed. Mother in law gave trouble to look after the dog, but agreed as we were reuniting the two young children (our 3 yo son and our 2 yo Godson).

Now a second meeting has been arranged and mother in law had a tantrum because she won't look after the dog. Angrily, I ask her if she'd prefer me to stay a home and look after the dog (who cant be left alone). Mother in law agrees with this option, despite my explaining that I won't get to see Godson on this second visit. She sees Godson very often. My wife, my son and I haven't seen him in over a year!

We're staying with mother in law until middle April. After this bust up I really want to bail out now and (more)..

Me and my sister have decided to treat our parents to 4 nights away in a hotel to thank them for all their help over the years with our schooling (we both graduate from uni soon). The holiday is coming up and we have decided to tell them by writing it in a thank you card and handing it to them together. Me and my sis are hopeless at English but we really want to write something heartfelt to show them how much we appreciate them! Any ideas? Thanks x

My Dad and I got along great, I was one of his favorite, I could tell by the way he treated me, compared to my other sisters.
Of course I was kind and respectful, and adored him, some of my sisters were snotty to Dad and rude.
Where you kind to your Dad?
--->now my Mother...another story, lol<----

,When we were a little older we started trusting each other, sharing views etc. Then she left to India to study there, .Then when i went on vacations to India, for 2 months we had lot of quarrels .And she kept rasing her voice at me all the time, whenevr she got angry. It was very disrespectful because she used to scream at me on the top of her voice that made the neighbours wonder us .I even told my sis not to scream , but she never listened and later i told her politely that she acts like a *****.She used to raise her hand at me whenever she got angry, i even hit her once, .Then when i left India and went back to my place, i was really pissed thinking about the way she treated me ,so i said mean stuff to her online to get even and she forwarded the entire conversation to my dad and she now keeps puttin me down indirectly or thinks low of me. She tol my dad i think girls are only for sex, but its not true. She got lots of friends and keeps tellin everybody that she loves me but i dont.

Mine would take me to parties and pubs till the early mornings of the night. Emotions were a tabboo, not to be talked about. Me dancing as a 7year-old was something that was reason to have a good laugh.
It was a grandmother who left my sister on her own in a playpen with no toys to the point that she would start playing with her poo nappy and get it all over her.
That's the nicer bits, believe you me.
Real scary thing is that my parents were married, had respectable jobs, we went on yearly holidays, we lived in a nice house in a nice area, couldn't ask for any more material than i had wanted (apart from the chopper, not allowed cause i was a girl. Girls don't ride choppers!)
Refused to go home aged 12 and was put into care. Much more fun than it ever was at home. And no one mentioned dysfunctional families at the time.
So, to you. what defines a dysfunctional family?

Hello everyone, I'm 25 years old and have been living in a house share for just over a year. I've loved every minute of it up until 3 months ago. This is when I got a new job that I'm not too sure about, and my landlord is my new boss. I also live with his son. If I decide to leave work then I pretty much have to leave home too because of the favour my landlord did for me by giving me the job. He is now having the loft converted into a room for him to stay in some nights during the week. I'm not sure what to do, and I don't know whether it would be a good idea moving back to mum's. This is my only other option because I can't afford a deposit on another flat. Please Help!!!

hi, i ask this because i feel like i am. im 19 years old and im a male. i go with my mom to the groceries and to pay the bills. whenever she goes out with my grandma, her sister, my girl cousin, i end up being the only guy, is this okay, or not? i do go to work with my dad but whenever i go to school, i go places with her. one day when she asked me to go with her to places i normally go with her, i said no. she asked me to go to the grocery with her and i still said no, due to my problem. i asked her if it was okay if hung out with her and if i go places with her and she said it was. i then noticed that she didnt want to hurt my feelings so i am still confuse. she used to take me places without asking me when i was a kid so i got used to it. my grandparents told me that i always have to be with her, but i realized that they meant to take care of her. i asked her about me hanging with her but she made it seem like i didnt have to hangout with her if i didnt want to.

thanks
