Her biological father is a deadbeat and is stubborn enough that he won't give up his parental right. Also, he is on the birth certificate and my daughter's last name is hyphenated with mine and his. I just want her father out of the picture even more than he is now.

So my sister is a young teen but I am so tired that everytime she speaks its like she has mouth diarrhea. Her friends and her are like that, they all talk to each other with insults. My mom seems to do nothing about it. But it is so disturbing to live with her and hear so much profanity :(

My mom seems to think that I live solely for the purpose of doing crap for her. She doesn't have a job, but she does some freelance work because she enjoys it. She plays solitare, shops, and decorates the house all day. I am a full time high school student, and I am also taking a full load of college classes. But somehow she expects me to cook dinner every night that I'm home--and gets mad if I make plans to not be at home. How do I respectfully let her know that, although gourmet cooking is a hobby of mine, I cannot handle the additional pressure?

It was my father. They are now 73 and 76 and their health is not good. I don't see a reason to confront him or her. But I am struggling so much with this. I am 45. Should I tell my kids or just let them have good memories of their grandfather? Advice welcome.

I'm a college student in my twenties yet i feel like a "dramatic" teenager who wants to be left alone - i feel like my parents are on my case. This could do something with that fact that i am their "first baby girl". My dad will question where i go and why and if i "have to". My mom will guilt trip me into not going out and staying with her - she'll read my school schedule and wants and will be involved in knowing when i'll have "certain exams". HOW DO I DEAL WITH THIS??? and why are they like this?

PS: don't tell me to move out - i can't afford it. Just tell me psychological affects, experiences, your opinions - THANKS!

Is this totally unheard of, or is it just me. Do parents usually get jealous by their own child's accomplishments. Its a sad fact, but my own mother hates to see me succeed at anything. Because of this, I feel like maybe having a close relationship with her will never actually happen. Is this a common trend.

Some kids hate school with their own guts but why do they still go?
I know their parents might kill them, but they can only do so much. The government don't have a right to our private lives so why is it the law to go? It's kinda oxy moron

I just found out my 18 year-old sister MADE A PASS at my boyfriend a while ago! He turned her down, but I still can't believe that she would betray me like this. She's been begging me night and day to forgive, but I'm too hurt and angry. Am I wrong?

Say ... your daughter is 24 and the boyfriend is also 24. He was married once ... his ex-wife cheated on him ... then they got divorced with one kid as the result of the marriage. So, your daughter didn't tell you that he's divorced when you first met him ... you both (you and your husband) really like the guy --> all in all very amazing man and you really like your daughter's choice this time. Then, when things got serious ... your daughter told you that he was married once with kid (but the kid is with the his ex). So, now what? Are you still ok with your little daughter dating and potentialy marrying this man? Or you have second thought because he now comes with a little baggage? ... After all it's not like his faults that the marriage failed ...
Anything people?

My parents divorced. My father remarried. He married a woman with a daughter from a previous relationship, making her my step-sister. They had twin boys of their own, making them my half-brothers.
My father was in the process of divorcing wife #2 when he died last year.
My half-brothers are obviously always going to be my half-brothers because we have the same father. However, should I still regard my step-sister as a step-sister? She's not blood related and given her mother and my father were divorcing anyway, does that make her no longer a step-sister? Is she now just "my late father's second ex-wife's daughter?"

Should we tell our parents of destination wedding upon first meeting; they never met before .... tell them of our plans at first meeting?

My fiance and I have recently decided to have a destination wedding and not invite ANYONE, including our parents.

My parents divorced over 20 years ago and still HATE each other. Both have re-married since then.

My fiance's parents are still married and would really like us to have a TRADITIONAL wedding, as would my mother and my grandmother.

While they have an idea of our plans, we are thinking of having them (my mother and stepfather and his parents) meet for the first time for dinner and announce our wedding plan.

We think that they are less likely to get overly upset in the presence of future in-laws, and this will allow them to let the news settle in for a little while.

Is this an ambush to spring it on them like this, or a good idea, so we don't get a guilt trip?

I am 2 months pregnant and the father keeps fighting with me, and leaving. Then comeing back 3 days later saying hes sorry and he wants this family. Should I keep taking him back or kick him to the curb. I'm 22 and can't afford rent on my own. THis will be my first child and I am scared. I don't want to do it alone, but will if it is the best thing for me and my child. He just gets so mad over little things like me asking him not to cuss at me. I even said please. He got in my face punched our dog that was sitting in my lap, and told me he was leaving. He calls me a phsycotic whore and I have never cheated on him. I love him, that's why I keep taking him back. This will make the 5th time. I need some advice.

I have a 2 year old daughter who i have not been able to locate for about a year and a half. The mother is being vengeful. I am totally up to date on my child support. I have provided insurance for about a year now but still no contact. I have never had any problems with my other daughters visitation. Just asking if anyone knew of any agency that helps fathers rights. I know the lawyer route but even with a court order she doesnt have to comply. Plus many times the lawyer is not willing to stick there "neck out" very far to actually help. Tried the dhs where my child support goes to but they inform me they are only there for support not visitation. Any info on agencies or groups would b appreciated
