Is there something we can open up together, other than a hole-in-the-wall restaurant? Any success stories? Ideas? Words of encouragement?

Trucking... You can spend more time wtih her than you ever imagined. Decent money if you get with the right company. We have several husband/wife teams that werk for us.

The perfect receipe for disaster... don't do it. You obviously love your wife and most probably see her in the evening, enjoy her company at night and spend the weekends together. You have things to tell each other about what has happened during the day and things to say to each other because you have been apart for the last 8/10 hours...you long for each other when your apart. Now lets look at it if you work together.... you will be with her 24/7, there will be very little to talk about when you get home as you would have been together all day anyway. You will soon start to get on each others nerves because you will each want to do things differently, you will start to argue about things that are work related, you will slowly drift apart as the excitment of seeing each other after a day at work apart is no longer there and chatting will be a thing of the past and next thing.... the romance, the longing for each other has gone and so a beautiful marriage will become a boring day to day event.

Don't! That's my suggestion. My friend and her husband own a small print shop, and he has stayed with her the last 10 years ONLY because their daughter was still a child, and he loved the child, and he knew he would be barred from seeing her... they absolutely despise each other. My husband and I worked together about 6 months running a storage facility, and I nearly killed him. I really came closer than I ever hope to again with any human being! Some time apart is good for any relationship!

My Dad told me about a husband and wife who had their own cooking show together. They were pretty successful.

Sit down with your wife and see if she feels the same you do. The two of you can talk about what would be best to aim for and share ideas and stuff.

All the best!
