my parents were abusive emotionally and physcally, my dad has died, but my mum continues to manipulate me with inheritance, i am living away from her and haven't visited her for over 8 months, she try to knock on my door and calling my home every week, what is the best revenge to an abusive parent like her? i really hate her with all my heart, she has caused nothing but grief in my llife!

Hi, I'm 14, and my parents just divorced. My mom found an old friend of hers and they're dating now. They want to rent a house together next month, but I'm not really ready for this. First of all, I think they're going too fast (they've been dating for almost three months). When I tell this to my mom, she says that they're just picking up from where they left off 16 years ago, so it's not too fast. She also says that her boyfriend treats us (me and my bro) really well, but I'm worried that he might be faking and that when we live together he will turn really nasty. I try telling all this to my mom but she doesn't listen. . .I am not ready to share a future home with this guy I barely know!! Any tips, similar stories, solutions are gladly welcome. Thank you for your time.

I've recently heard an argument that concluded that two parents aren't a privilege but are a basic right. Admittedly there are curcumstances (death of a parent, mental instability, rape, etc...) where this is absolutely not going to happen. But in general do Americans (or whomever is reading this) in general see 2 parents as a right children should be granted, or does it get treated more as a privilege that those born in the right circumstances recieve (and no I don't mean that as a slam on one parent homes)?

its like they dont care about me. i feel sad and depressed cuz i feel like they don't care so much about me. i just got my report card and i dont want to show them cuz it got worse than the first time. i feel like they would not like me anymore. i feel like they'll look down on me like i cant do anything and im a disappointment. i try tho...they dont understand. i go to the best school in my county and its much more competition. they dont understand how much work and pressure i have on my shoulders. i cry a lot now. i cry at least 15 times a week from stress and pressure. i cant wait til its all over. they dont even know half the things i do. they dont even know that i learned to play the piano on my own. i used to be more open with them, but now i feel as tho they're not gonna care anymore. my lil brothers get more attention than me and i have to admit that i do get jealous sometimes. and when me and my brothers get into fights, they always take their side even when im right and

I have two young kids. I let my mom move in with me just after my husband and I separated. I told her before she moved in that she could stay with me if she promised not to do drugs. (she has a history) After she was there for awhile I asked her to get a job because I was having trouble supporting her. I was just learning how to live with my two kids with one income. She kept telling me she was looking for a job and started coming home late. She was using my sons cell phone etc.... to make a LONG story short I found out she was using drugs, she never got a job, she stole from me, she was always asking for money and she was giving my sons cell phone number out to her junkie friends. I kicked her out in the best interest of my kids and my brother called me telling me what a horrible person I am. I don't think he has any right considering this had nothing to do with him. My dad keeps telling me to call him. I think he should call me. What do you think?

My little sister came to me and told me she is using drugs. I told my mother and she said she was going to take the car from her and not let her stay out late anymore but then my sister told my mom she wasn't do that stuff anymore, when i know for fact she is, and my mom believes her so my mom is letting her do whatever she wants. Since my mom isn't doing anything I would like to try as much as possible to do something because I love my sister with all my heart and I have been down the road she is going and I just don't want to see her get hurt or die. Another reason I am so upset about this whole thing is because my sister turns 18 in July and she's getting alot of money from when our father pasted away. I'm just so scared something bad is going to happen or she is going to end up dead. Any suggestions on what I should do would really help me out. Thank you so much!!!

Should I tell my mom that I got a 3.0 or higher or should I tell her the truth if I was to tell a lie she would never find out because she never looks at the report card she would just ask me and she never goes up to the school (besides for my brother) so it aint like she would talk to my teachers

my husband is planning a trip with his mom and 20 family members, he took 52 photos of fabric from wholesale houses in los angles so he can mail them to everyone to choose just one fabric to have us all matching clothes for vacation,, he could have emailed but no, and i think it's crazy i don't want to dress in the same clothes as everyone else every day,, i think he should be tested,, 1/2 his family is nuts and i don't think we need to look like the brady bunch.. he wants me to find someone to sew all the clothes, my daughters are 25 23 19 they think it's super goofy to i just want to cry why can't he just stop being crazy,,, he has been planning every breath we take for the event in june since november
i can't stand it every moment of the day he is planning , he works in a office and stays late making copys of crazy stuff for this trip...
what the f we travel all the time with a days notice and it's fun...he is sucking out my brain.. no fun just crazy

Everywhere you look, television, internet sites etc you are being encouraged to trace your family tree. Is it only me or do others wonder the accuracy of this? It has always been a fact of life secret affairs have taken place and in history if a name was put down as a child's father that was it. However, there must be numerous cases that can never be proven that ancestors traced are just a joke.

My brother was collecting a Social Security check in florida.. He ended up getting arrested and his SS checks kept going to my sisters house. She cashed them . When he got out in 3 months and went to SS office and informed them that he was out of jail they showed him the SS checks and they where cashed was on them My sisters handwriting was on the checks. I wouldnt be so angry at her because she might have needed the money but it took one hundred dollars to get him out (he got arrested for not having ID) and she has run around for years talking about hallelujah praise the lord. Telling other people they are going to hell.

my mum lives 3 hours away from me, she is getting less mobile since last year, if she goes to a nursing home they will take her house, then i won't have much inheritance, should i look after her long distance? train and 2 buses each way. I also have a brother but he has nothing to do with her.

My ex husband and I have supported our 22 yare old daughter, her boyfriend and their now 16 month old grandchild for 2 and 1/2 years now. She probably got pregnant here. My ex and I still jointly own a duplex. I live upstairs and he lives down. When the baby was born, I drove them to the hospital and coached. I have provided food, clothing, toys etc since before her birth. Everytime my daughter gets mad at me, she withholds access to my granddaughter, the longest being 4 months. I am the only one they trust to "babysit". They now live with my ex but I haven't seen the baby since November. The only time they bother with me is if they need a sitter or I have a little extra money. I bought clothing for them all in Nov. as well as "Santa" gifts. My ex is so fed up he's ready to sell the house. A problem as he's will to provide me with accomodation but not support (I'm on a long term disability). MY mother says I should mind my MOYB. Help, I really miss her.
