The bottom line is that she stole, and she commited fraud, which is the crime of deceiving another, including through the use of objects obtained through forgery. she done once, she can do much more.
First of all, you need to find out the reasons why she had done that. Also, try to find out if she understands the consequences of doing that, in other words, if she understand that she can go to jail for it. Especially for doing forgery on the SS, you don't mess with the government like that. if she doesn't care and you decide that she did that for being greedy, then you should advice your brother to inform the authority/police/SS agency. You need to confront her, cause she needs to know that her family members are aware of her actions. who knows, she might need some psychological help.
As far as being religious and condemmed everyone else for not being religious, I think that's just a bunch of BS, and most of those hard core religious people are the most hypocrites of all.

What your sister has done is commited fraud, punishable by law. Whatever the case, your brother should be handling it, not you. You have no case since you were not the offended party. Your brother needs to make a decision on what he wants to do. If it were me, I would confront her and tell her that you know she cashed the checks, but if she refunds the amount of the checks in lets say a month then you won't file charges against her. Otherwise you will have contact the social security office a file a claim against her which will certainly end in jail time. Good luck to you.

Obviously growing up without a mother would be very difficult for all of you, my heart really goes out to you. I imagine that your sister is getting to that age where things are changing and she's making the transition from a girl to a women. Instead of going straight to your father you should go into your sisters room and tell her that you know that she took some of your underwear, that it's okay and your just curious of why she did it. If she still refuses to talk or deny it you could say that you could take it up with your father. I can't imagine it will be anything horribly serious, maybe just a silly prank. Just talk to her about it, because now you have proof. Go easy on her though, and try not to make her feel awkward :)

yes do so, those hallelujah people are the most violent ones at times so don't be surprised if she condems you to hell right there and then, they also find justifications for everything they do wrong, for instance she might say she cashed the checks cuz the Lord put them in her mailbox as a way to gratify her or because he saw that she needed the money more than he did, well don't listen to me you know her more than me

i would be so pissed off if my sister took ss check and cash it.... guess what my mother did that to me and she think that all her money really by law ss goes to person like me for rent, food, clothes, on and on and on... but she used for herself... I don't care if sister used that for help her bro out jail.... who cares... Your brother need to contact ssi and let them know that she is stealing my money and she can go to jail for that and she will be in prison for a very very long time... that the goverment money was send to your brother... she didn't get his permission for her to do that. so that is fraud and you need to report if you don't you be in jail for not report you know what right and wrong. now you do.
so, good luck. How I know ssi before and now no more i work real job and thank god for that.

Confront her! My sister stole some pictures from me that were my grandmothers ( I asked grandma if I could scan them and print them out for myself and then give them back, she said yes.). My other sister said my oldest sister took them and she said she was going to give them back to grandma but never did. so grandma thinks I stole them with the help of my other sister. I called her and she refused to answer my calls then I emailed her telling her I know she has them and told grandma that huge story and I wasn't happy about it. It took me to confront her to get her to do the right thing. Good luck and confront her about it. She owes your brother that money.

Both you and your brother should confront her and give her hell about advertising herself as being holier than thou.
She needs to know everyone is on to her and her praises to god are nothing but fake.
Tell her, if she wants to get back in god's good graces, she better start paying it back.

No. This is between your brother and sister. You getting involved only creates conflict. Let them work it out.
However, you should obviously keep this in mind when it comes time to trust your sister with anything.
