Should I tell my mom that I got a 3.0 or higher or should I tell her the truth if I was to tell a lie she would never find out because she never looks at the report card she would just ask me and she never goes up to the school (besides for my brother) so it aint like she would talk to my teachers

Is there a reason why your grades went down so bad? You should talk to her about it (tell the truth) maybe she can help you get back on the right track.

It depends on what you have planned for you future. If you are trying to get into a good college someday, she may wonder why you weren't accepted. BTW why the extreme drop anyway, maybe there are deeper issues than your report card. Drugs? Drinking too much? I think you should be honest with your mom.

Do what a 4.0 student would do ... Tell the truth. It isn't the end of the world to screw up a course for whatever reason. We all are entitled to make a mistake.

I'd tell her, because otherwise I'd feel terribly guilty about it. Plus if she finds out that you lied, she'll be pretty mad.

More importantly, though, I'd tell her because a drop of 2.5 GPA points is probably the result of something else bothering you in your life, and she can probably help with the situation.

you should tell her b/c going from a 4.o to 1.5 you obviously need help. and she will found out sooner or later like if you sigh up 4 a college and you get a letter back saying your GPA is to low what if she gets it 1st then you're going to be in big trouble
