I think I am going to go to a shelter. I hate my family i dont have any family and I am not working. Its hard for me to get a job without any office skills.I stay with my bf most of the time so I only go home to eat and shower. when I go home late or early in the morning my parents look at me funny. But they dont know that I hate being in there house. I rather be any where else then with them. They make me upset just the sight of them. Do you think going to a shelter is the best thing? Please no rude comments.

ive just recently got back in touch with my mum. i have no family support and friends whod babysit for me and havent been out and spent time with my husband of 2yrs since my kids have been born. they are 2yrs and 9mths. im 19years old.
thing is my mum and dad- split used to torture me when i was little as i liked to go out and have fun with mates. my dad used to beat me. i have recently found out that my sis of 16 is doing all the things i wasnt allowed to do such as going to pubs with friends, shopping, sex life, etc. shes spoilt and ,my dad gives her money. ive just also found out that i had money saved up for when i was 18 but never got. instead hes bought my sis a new wardrobe and anew scooter.
hes just bought a new car and given my sis his old one even though i need one and she cant drive. would it be fair of me to ask my mum to look after kids for weekend while my hubby and me go to hotel to enjoy 2nd anniversery also to ask my dad for money as need it for dep for mortgage?

I help my son with his rentals and bookkeeping. I help my daughter with babysitting her 9 & 12 yr. old. My husband with all his self employed paper work. My mother with all her paper work. All without pay. At the end of the day, I'm tired working for everyone. When I call them to go out to eat or to a movie or shop or something fun, they are all to busy. But when it comes to me putting on a big party at my house, they are all here to party and I pay for it all. I feel I should get a real job and go back to work and forget them all. And just take care of myself.

I am a single working mother with 2 children. My son (the 1st grader) is at times very happy, but spent christmas with his dad (the only days I can get him to spend time with my son) and he came back very sad and wanting to live with his dad. Any ideas? I dont want to get him upset with his dad or show I am, but he desperately needs cheering.

how do i tell a family member that they have a problem with their personal hygiene without offending them? I am due to go to a family gathering soon and a close member of my family will be there. but they are unable to get upstairs to shower and they have a very bad odour that follows them around. i have bought the subject up on several occasions but this person has not taken the hint. i feel guilty about saying anything but i feel that if i dont say anything someone else will and they wont be very diplomatic. please help

My mother in law has a very negative outlook on life. While visiting she is pre-occupied with the baby and seemingly happy after we leave she will call my wife and say things like watch out while driving everyone out there is crazy and will kill you. Or after visiting pur place, throw away those space heaters you you might be wet one day while holding the baby and oh god!
My wife is breastfeeding she will call and tell her to lose weight, your way too fat!
Just really negative put down type comments of impending doom.
How do I deal with this. While visiting I always think wow she is happy seeing the grandchild but then after we leave I can hear the conversations and it really makes me cringe, to the point that I dont want to visit her for the next time. I dont want her doing this junk to my child and I want to confront her, but I am afraid I may tell her like it is and come off attacking as it is penting up and I am starting to hate her.

Okay - my mum's coming to see me from overseas - its been about a couple of years. So my Husband and I are picking her up from the airport etc. My Aunt wants to come to the aiport too (she hasn't seen my mum for 5yrs) - but I don't want her to come. Whenever my aunt comes to the airport - like the few times when my siblings have been to see us, she causes trouble. Last time she wanted ,my siblings to carry a mini suitcase for her within their luggage - there were some gifts for her kids. But we said no, because their suitcases were already over the limit and we would have been charged extra etc, then she got stroppy and the atmosphere was so tense! She also doesn't get along that much with my mum - she pretends to, but then she just uses people. So we really just want to collect my mum from the aiport in peace, and come home to catch up on our own, then she can come visiting another day. The problem is I don't know how to tell her, she is already planing days off and all that. Help

My sister has been bullied for 8 years and Iv had enough. Her school and the police have never done anything because they dont know what to do.
On her birthday in July she got a text saying really nasty things so i went down to where her friends were and had a go at them. Her friend then apologised but 3 of my friends got arrested because a fight happened when i was trying to speak to this girl.
Last night my sister got started on by the same girls that i had a go at back in July. I was at work and she came in and told me and i was livid. I want to go down to where these girls hang around tonight and let my sister smack the girl who pushed her just to let them know were not putting up with this any more.
I want to bully these girls so they know what my sister goes through.
One of the girls is a nasty piece of work and can make the other girls do what she wants them to.
Please someone help my mum doesnt want us to go down there but my sister and me really want to.

I am a very picky eater. I always have been. I will not eat seafood, I don't like most vegetables and I can't stand food being mixed together. I just like certain foods a certain way and that's the way it is! Yet my family is intent on changing this! Whenever they are eating something I don't like or want they will beg me to try it and they will not stop bothering me until I do. Family fights have even broke out over a meal because of this! If I refuse to try the food they will become angry at me and tell me what a spoiled brat I am because children in Africa would die to eat whatever it is they are forcing me to eat. I have begun to avoid family meals just because of this. What can I do to get them to STOP bothering me about such a stupid thing that doesn't even effect them?

my sister's second son died in her tummy on his 35th week. she doesn't talk much, she just tells us she's fine. she doesnt show us she's hurting or crying (too much pride???). when we talk about the incident, she would change the topic or just be quiet as if she cant hear us. whenever she's alone, she's somewhat in deep thoughts, if asked what she's thinking about, she would answer nothing. her ob gyne explained that it was not her fault, etc but it seems that its not getting through....

This is a real thing that has happened. I have a younger brother who is so good looking that I like him a lot. I still do. To cut the story short we started having a relation that is considered as incest or taboo for a brother and sister. I started that. I really liked him a lot. I could not find a good reason that explains why this is bad.

Couple of years I learned from Discover channel that we are generally more attracted to people who have a matching DNA. That answered my question. We must be having a very closely matching DNA. Thats why we formed such a very good bonding. I wonder why people made this taboo. I could not answer this question at all. Can somebody come with a very good answer why this should be considered a taboo?

P.S: May be I began thinking wrong and am missing some correct understanding of good life. I wanted to know a genuine reason for making this a taboo. It is not good to plainly say that I am bad. Please make me understand why this is wrong.

It's a miserable life living with my husband's family. No privacy, his parents involve everything even my 4 months daughter, they think they got the power to be on the husband's side. My husband told me he'll never move out. His mom is 46 and dad 53 they're working but he said he'll take care of them now and forever. I can see he doesn't love me enough to do anything against his parents. Move out alone? who will take care of my daughter when I go to work. I'm with her 24/7 now. Go back to my mom is north california? I can't depend on her forever. Can I apply for housing and child care? will I be approved fast for the programs? thank u

my parents were devorced when I was 8. I don't remember much of my dad because my mom took us. I do remember that he cheated on her and was into some weird 60s and 70s cult like ideas, now after 20 years we just started talking and have done some traveling together, everything seemed fine untill he left his girlfriend to come travel with me.(I did not ask him to leave his girlfirend he thought it was coming to an end already) Then I felt like he started treating me like he had never left and its a bit of a nightmare cause we are still traveling together, thank goodness I have more money than he does cause he has to leave in a week. But I was wondering if theres a way to end our powerstrugles that last for weeks at a time? thanks

I'm 18 years old in a family of 5, recently a relative moved in with us from another country so he could do get his undergrad degree here in New York. So me and him have to share a room now. I said that fine because I only live there in between college. But his snor ing is so bad I had to move into the computer room. I told my parents he should be the one to move there, but they said it doesn't matter because I only live here 4 months a year. Anyway, This guy spends all day on the computer and I have to wait for him to get off before I can go to sleep. Sometimes he's on it till 2 AM. And I'm also getting upset that he uses one of our cars now but never pays for gas. What should I do?
