My daughter is 18 and a senior in HS. She is constantly on the go and I am worried that she is wearing herself out. She keeps a gpa of 3.5, is a cheerleader, volunteers at the hospital, works 20 to 28 hrs a week and refuses to tell her employer to cut back on her hours despite what I tell her. She doesnt have much time for herself and her room is always a mess. Its like a catch 22 here because what she is doing is being constructive and she never gets into trouble or skips school, but on the other hand I think she is trying to do way too much then what she can handle and it will all catch up to her. Shes been sick alot lately with sore throats, flus and colds and I told her its because she wont take a break and give herself some leisure time and she refuses to call in sick. I have always encouraged her to be independant but where do you draw the line when she appears to be exhausted and a little unhappy lately. Would you step up, or since she is 18, let her make her own decisions.
