Me and my girlfriend just had a baby together.. She's 17 and I'm 21, I do know there are ways to get married at a young age.. She and my son is the world to me.. We have been together for a very long time.. It seems that she she lives with me because she is always over... I'm not afraid of committing for life because I already have with our son. I feel that maybe we should get married to make it official. What are your thoughts about this? And money is not a problem at all..

I heard his parents have lost everything in their search for him. Shouldn't we all send them a small financial gift to help them get back to normal? The kid doesn't even have any clothes that fit.

My younger brother lost his job. He is evicted from his apartment for not paying rent. He has a wife and 2 children, age 4 and 2. He said that he wanted to stay with me for 2-3 weeks (until he can be on his own feet).

So he moved to my house, 2 weeks passed, 3 weeks passed, and now 2 months passed. He just watches TV and drinks bear all day. I do not think that he or his wife is really trying hard enough to find a job. I can not take it any more, though I love him and his family dearly.

What should I do ?

First off, I want to say that I love my brother very much, but he is a total lazy slob and I am the complete opposite. I finally got my own place and it is neat and clean the way I like it. However, my 18yr old brother wants to move in with me because my parents are really in his a** about cleaning since I have been gone. I can't go back to living with him again because he is soooooo sloppy. I remember he would take a sh!t with the bathroom door open. He would also leave film all over the bathroom mirror and expected me to clean it up. Instead of, spitting up phelgm in the toilet in flush it he would do it in our bathroom sink and just leave it. There would be a pool of water and spit on the sink after he would use it . The whole house would stink because his was full of dirty clothes that it would take almost 2mos to wash. So I told him h@ll no you can not move in with me. Now he won't speak to me. What should i do?

After my father in law passed away my mother in law stayed with her daughter till they came to blows. Now she stays with us. Its been nearly 3 years. I have 2 children and stay in a 3 bed room home. My son (22) has to share the bed room with his 18 year old sister when he comes home from university. I dont like this at all. My daughter would rather go away when her brother comes home for a visit which is hardly ever now. My husband and his mother dont get along at all. We have been married 25 years. Mother in law cries and has tantrums when she cant get her way. I made the mistake in giving in to her. What do i do now? There are some days i feel like walking and never coming back.

My mother is driving me crazy. She is the reason why I have low self esteem. She never said anything positiv about me mostly neg. now that I am old enough(20) to get away from her. Meaning I spend the nigth mostly with my bf she gets upset saying it is disrespectful and how I am embarassing them and how i am the only one in my negihborhood staying out all night or coming in early morning. I dont care what the neighbors think i dont know why she care she dont talk to them. But she is obssessed with them. She always looking out the window like neighborhood watch. she got me hating them people. She always talk about them but never talk to them then tell me how I am giving them something to talk about when in reality I am trying to get the F*** away from her. Trust me she is driving me insane.
Why I wont move out??? Because rent is high in NYC and retail jobs dont pay well and I have not much work experience to get an office job. But do you think what the neighors think is important???

does anyone have a child that is manipulative and denies them the right to see their grandchildren? did you take them to court for those rights and win? how much did it cost and was it worth the heartache and turmoil it caused the family? do you think it harmed the chances of regaining a relationship with your child?

I'd be interested to know whether this is now regarded as a bit old-fashioned and the child would usually take the mother's name as the parents are not married. (Assuming the father and mother do live together, with the child - I don't mean a single parent situation). What are the pros and cons of the child taking either the father's or the mother's name?

I'm 17 years old, and I live alone with my dad. He is a major a**hole, seriously. He is abusive, and he's called me names, and told me to "get out". I can run away legally, but I don't have any friends or family to stay with, and there aren't any shelters here. What can I do besides getting the law involved?

My daughter is 18 and a senior in HS. She is constantly on the go and I am worried that she is wearing herself out. She keeps a gpa of 3.5, is a cheerleader, volunteers at the hospital, works 20 to 28 hrs a week and refuses to tell her employer to cut back on her hours despite what I tell her. She doesnt have much time for herself and her room is always a mess. Its like a catch 22 here because what she is doing is being constructive and she never gets into trouble or skips school, but on the other hand I think she is trying to do way too much then what she can handle and it will all catch up to her. Shes been sick alot lately with sore throats, flus and colds and I told her its because she wont take a break and give herself some leisure time and she refuses to call in sick. I have always encouraged her to be independant but where do you draw the line when she appears to be exhausted and a little unhappy lately. Would you step up, or since she is 18, let her make her own decisions.
