Me and my girlfriend just had a baby together.. She's 17 and I'm 21, I do know there are ways to get married at a young age.. She and my son is the world to me.. We have been together for a very long time.. It seems that she she lives with me because she is always over... I'm not afraid of committing for life because I already have with our son. I feel that maybe we should get married to make it official. What are your thoughts about this? And money is not a problem at all..

Well all I can say is that you and her have to talk seriosly about this. I understand that you want to make things official but the way I see it is if you both love each other and are commited to one another, then you are already married in your hearts. The day will come that you go through with the ceremony but don't feel it necessary to do this just because you have a son together.
As long as you are there for each other and your son, that's all that matters.

I think its really good, you want to be a family! Is hard to find now a days. But I think you 2 should eventually get married. It sounds like you Love her, and you already have a kid with her too. Maybe you should wait a couple years though, because shes only 17 years old. Let her finish school, and find out what it is she really wants out of life. Then you should pop the question... you don't wanna move too fast, or everything will fall to pieces! Hope this advice helped... follow your heart!!!

well..the first question is..does she want to get married? and if the answer is yes..will it cause family problems? however thats not a huge issue if you two love each other and want the relationship...big big advice....think of your vows before you take them, seriously consider them, if your thought process is "hey if this don't work, theres always divorce" then don't do it! take you vows and marriage seriously, keep in mind its forever, not "Until you don't do what I want you to." a great series on marriage (whether your a believer or not doesn't matter, this guy can apply to anyone no matter what they believe and really helps to make a marriage last) can be found at

good luck, and happy future! :)

If her parents will sign for her to get married then by all means get married.I have a friend who was married at 17 years old and the marriage lasted until her husband died 56 years later.. He was the love of her life.

If you weren't going to get married before the baby, then do not do it now. Take this time to enjoy your new baby and to continue to be supportive of each other. See where your relationship goes, and if you guys were meant to be married, then when the time is right, you will know it.
