does anyone have a child that is manipulative and denies them the right to see their grandchildren? did you take them to court for those rights and win? how much did it cost and was it worth the heartache and turmoil it caused the family? do you think it harmed the chances of regaining a relationship with your child?

my daughter is 20, granddaughter is almost 1 year. i was there when she was born, first to hold and feed her. my daughter had a c-section and was out of it. my daughter says i need to change my ways cuz my hubby (stepfather) and i sleep in seperate beds (different sleep patterns) and because i have no friends (which i do). i think she needs some meds, she used to cut herself. anyway, she is using this baby as a tool to torture me.

You are a grandparent and you have rights! My parents and I went to court, but for custody! They ended up winning, but it was kinda mutual because of my situation. You can get a court appointed Lawyer! It's not really a heartache! The child might benefit from the relationship! IF your child doesn't allow you to see your grandchild... They aren't good parents unless they have just cause to why you can't see the child! If the child is doing it just to spite you then take it to court and fight with your heart!\
GOOD LUCK!

The grandparents do not have any rights to the children. There have been a case or 2 regarding this and the grandparents did not win. This will cause alot of friction in your family and cost lost of money!

I can't help but wonder why your child won't let you see the grandchildren. I would think the better solution would be to find the answer to that and work on resolving that problem. Going to court will only make matters more difficult as there will be anger involved if you force their hand.

What state do you live in??I live in florida and in florida grandparents have no rights. You have'nt given very much information also how old are the grandchildren.Every state is different and in most states the grandparents have no rights it is unfortunate but that is the law's in most cases.I'm also wondering why your children don't want you to see their kid's??
