I really have an 8-12 months-previous and that is so out of the component to what I evaluate "conventional" for her that i might want to just about imagine you've been making this up - yet regrettably, i'm particular it is real. It sounds like your niece needs a very good dose of empathy preparation. childrens do not study this with information from themselves, they ought to study ethics and morals. in the journey that your relatives isn't religious (i'm not) and do not deliver her to Sunday college, i might want to look into an section-company for her like lady Scouts, Campfire females or a tree-planting club. It somewhat helps females uncomplicated techniques to get alongside with human beings distinct than them and do issues for human beings at the same time as having exciting. everybody needs to imagine about what it is favor to be in some different person's shoes sometime. do not melancholy too a lot over your niece. childrens favor to be shown those ideas and this shows her preparation is lacking, however it isn't in any respect too late. The punishment she were provided that day will honestly not in any respect be forgotten, yet you should construct something effectual out of this now or it basically turns into one better resentment hostile to her dad and mom.

I'd get her a personalized blanket or make a scrapbook or photo album for her to reflect back on as she gets older! As long as it comes from the heart then you have nothing to worry about. She is one and really has no concept of cost or anything like that yet, but when she does her parents are going to be in trouble if they keep giving her everything and anything! She will grow up thinking everything has t o be handed to her, and her concept of money will be all wrong! I say something special comes from the heart.... Not from a store!

Why not get her some kind of keepsake that is special? Something she will hang on to throughout the years? Or contribute to her bank account, that always works. What about a savings bond? Depending on your financial situation there are many possibilities.

Since she's turning 1 and probably won't remember much about this B-day, how about a savings bond for the future? Or name a star after her and frame the certificate?

A savings bond; she may not realize it now but down the road she will know on her first birthday you cared enough to set some money aside along with one of those real soft blankets.

how about a quilt? if you know how to make it, you can do it yourself. if not, have someone make it for her. you can paint things on every other tile like her first word, or first time she crawled, etc. and leave a few blank tiles to fill in as she gets older and learns new things. you can use fabric with her fave. cartoon on it.

another similar idea is to make a blanket with different shapes and colors on it with. put buttons and zippers and stuff like that on it. my mom made one for me and my niece when we were little and i love that thing to death. it helped kept me warm before i knew what all the shapes where, then as i got older, it helped me learn the shapes, and colors and how to button and zip. and today it helps me remember when i was little.
how that helps! :D

why don't you get her a bracelet or necklace that has something special embedded in it, something that you want her to know forever. A piece of jewelery that she will love more as she grows.
