worrying about doing the wrong thing, that even though you think you're making the right decision.. that you're mistaken.
worrying about raising them right so that they can later go out into the world as prepared and good human beings.
worrying endlessly about their safety.
It's all about the worry.
but it's all good because if you never worry, you aren't paying attention and it's better to worry some then not at all.

If you are divorced letting them go across the country to visit the other parent. When they return they tell you what all was said about you. What names you were called. You would think after ten years he would just go on with his life. The hardest part for me is not saying anything negative about him. Now my daughter is 18 and she respects me for that.

Not always giving my opinion.
Listening and just being there.

As a parent you want to guide but also let them learn
to do things on their own.
and
all the late nights worrying ...whether it be croup, at a sleep over or out with their friends....tucking them in and being there is so much easier.

best wishes
