Well, what are you doing that they have to be bossy all the time? And they don't think they are always right, THEY KNOW THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!
you don't say how they are controlling your life, or your age, but it is their responsibility as a parent to make sure you do good in life and not take the wrong roads.
Be patient, it get better. And when you get older and you are a parent you will understand it all and your children will be asking the same question.

Well depending upon your age... you will dislike them... They have a hell of alot more life experience than you and do not want you to make the same mistakes or screw up in general.
What parents fail to realize is tha kids learn much better by screwing up and learning from that mistake.
What kids fail to realize is that parents have a very unappreciative job to do. Kids are very self centered and rude to parents and rarely thank them for anything. If kids would treat their parents respectfully most parents would take notice and treat the kids like a human being as well.
If kids are not corrected at an early age then their life will most likely go down an undesirable path. Be happy you have a home an parents that actually provide for you !!

Daffodil, I can remember back in the "dark ages" when my parents would try and tell me something so "stupid", like that boy is no good for you, or be sure and do not get too deep in debt, or you need to get a good education. I thought they were so stupid, but you know what, now 45 years later, I wish to God I had listened to them about certain things, the guy thing for sure! If they said that the guy I liked was a loser, well all the better to date him just to piss them off! i never hurt anyone but myself, and them. As you get older you realize that. I have 5 children that are grown, and they went through it, now their kids are going through it and I hear them say, my kids just wont listen to me......duhhhh. Be patient, give them the benefit of the doubt, you will be out in the big world before you know it...time passes so fast, today you are a teenager, tomorrow you are an old granny on a computer!

Well, for me I'm not trying to be bossy or control my kids. I just am trying to protect them from all the hurt I went through when I was their age. They may feel that I'm being bossy. I don't mean to be. It's just that I love them soo much and I'd rather they be mad at me for a little while than to ever have something horrible happen to them.

Everyone has a job to do in this life. A parent's job is to set the rules and do the best job of raising their children that they can. The child has a job too. That job is to pay attention, do what the parents tell you to do and honor them for trying to do their job well.

i dont think they are controling your life.Its just that our parents always want to make sure that we are on the right track of life.They may not be right at all times but still,they have been into that point of your life,thats why they know what is the best thing to do.

They are bossy because you are probably being a brat! Although parents can make mistakes they are usually right. Especially when they are still supporting you.

well, would you want a set of parents who just can't be bothered with what you're doing, with whom & why? think... it's their home you go to when all your friends shut you out. it's them who still accept you despite how irritating & ungrateful humanbeing you've been. in comparison, your "dear" friends would have shunned you. your buddies only accept your existence if you can please & be like them but not your parents. they accept you for what you are. that's what unconditional love is. think about it. you'll realise all these when you get married & have your own kids.

what is wrong with you young people.?? always finding a fault with your parents. get over it. when they stop feeding you, and caring for you and stuff..or do something detrimental to you overall well being..then say something..other than that..just gosh...they are your parents. love them, appreciate them, because they love you and only want what is best for you..
