i think it is one of those names which is a little more obscure than, say .... Jennifer. you just don't think of that off the top of your head. it is a pretty name though and now i am aware of it I'll keep it in mind when i have kids, ( 10 years from now) :0)

I think it is a pretty name too. I know a good few lornas aswell they are all really nice and friendly. I think it should be used more often aswell. I think it dosn't sound old like some of the people said before me.

Lorna is a nice name, however, it is not regarded as popular at the moment. Names, like a lot of things come in and out of fashion.

I like it, just don't use Doone as your middle name. Though it's a most excellent cookie, Lorna Doone is not a good name for a person.

I would suggest that contrary to your opinion, Lorna is NOT thought to be such a pretty name, otherwise we would see it in use a great deal more.

It is a pretty name, but I like names that aren't used all the time. It makes them more special. I mean, Katie's a nice name and all, but when someone says that's their name you don't think, aw that's nice, because you hear it all the time. I'm glad there are names like yours. I love the name Lydia, short for Olivia, and I've only met one person with that name, but that just makes me love it more

It is of course popular among people who have read Lorna Doone. Maybe this goes to show how few people read classic literature these days.
