actually, it's the difference between parents and children. Yeah, it's about 20 years, or maybe 30+ these days. People who grew up 20 years before you understand the world differently than you and there will be some areas where it will be hard to communicate with them.
That is the generation gap.

The age gap between elders and youngsters is called generation gap as both groups belong to different generations and have their seperate ideas opinions etc.

It is about the disagreement between two generations say your parent's and yours caused by differences in interest of both generations. your parents might prefer going to an opera to a club as you would prefer going to a club to an opera.
