I'm 27 and am moving from California due to a new job. I own a home in the Los Angeles area and don't want to sell. I plan on renting it out and living with my dad for up to a year in the new city to save money and buy another home.

ok ive been married for 1 month and 3 days we had been married exactly a week when his mother showed up at our house stating that she was going to be living with us because she was getting a divorce. that was fine except for the fact that we need our privacy. ok, she leaves messes all over my house and doesent help with anythingshe is deliberately trying to cause problems and yesterday i was putting up laundry when i found 12 pairs of my underwear in her drawer! this compelled me to look in her closet she is stealing my clothes! i told my husband and he didnt think there was anything wrong its almost like his mother can do no wrong and he thinks im being mean to her.

if you had a teenage girl saying she wanted to be pregnant and doesn't care about what anyone says?

I heard this before and wanted to know what others thinks.

The answer i can give you is that i would be scared and wondered what caused her to be this crazy. I mean i suspect she thinks raising a baby is like buying a baby doll. and that you can just show off with it. it's a dangerous world and her thinking that and not caring what others thinks, i wouldn't know what to do.

My best friend in the world who I love like a sister, live with her common-in-law husband. she been with him a while and they have a child together, everyone look at them as a married couple. well this is it ! her sister-in-law pass away, they was very close and the same age. they have a child around the same age too, well anyway she was hurt by it. when the obituary was pass out her name was not on the obituary, her children were but all of her in-laws was mention on it.- all is married except her, (legally) at the funeral she was hurt and said that it was'nt a big deal....but I can tell deep down she was very hurt, because she was close to her sister-in-law.and it seem like every picture in the in-laws home exclude her, mostly weddings pictures. she said it does not matter, but seem like it should.......they are very nice Chrsitian peoples.. Is it them? or her? putting up with this mess!!!!

I am 22 and just got married. My husband is in the process of joining the Army. I have 3 older sisters one that used to live in New Jersey and has 3 sons. Well about 6 months ago she just up and went to florida and married another guy and left the two underage boys with their father. He was granted full custody of both of them but I want to try to get custody now because he is not providing very good care for them. they keep missing school and not getting good grades, one keeps getting in trouble at school. He is more of a friend playing video games and stuff with them then a father. I am just wondering if anyone knows any way that I can try to get custody of them Any ideas will hep because I don't even know where to start. Thanks in advance!

We all went through the Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Well my friend was given over $10k from Fema and about 6 months of free rent also from fema. Then he came back to New Orleans (as so did we) and lived in his grandma's house (she moved to a different state) for a few months until she sold her house. He did not work this whole time except for a few very short contract jobs and hangs out with his friends all the time, living off of fema money, etc. Well since his grandmother sold his house he is now at me house. He has moved a lot of his stuff in and has a part time contract job. He has been here since around the 1st of October. He does not pay anything. I feel that 3 weeks is coming near so what should I do? He does not even share toilet paper, he carries his roll to and from the bathroom.

I have a close relationship with my Mom. I want to get her something very nice/thoughtful under $75. I am quite crafty and I'm willing to make a gift also.

She is not into fancy things (expensive purses, spa, posh clothing, etc.) and she is not into technology.

She'll be 44 and is quite "hip." Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

I was driving home the other day and i saw a 10 year old boy walking back from a grocery store (he had a couple bags of groceries in his hands is how i knew). Anyways, the kid looked like he could use a ride so I pulled over and told him to hop in and I would give him a ride home. He then kind of hesitated a bit but I told him it would save him a lot of time so he hopped in and told me where he lived so I drove there into his driveway and I guess his parents saw me pull up and they came running out of the house with all these questions like "Who the heck are you?" and "what is my son doing in your car?". I told them I was being a friend and giving him a ride home and they said they said i had no right to pick up their son. Give me a break....how about a "thank you"? I can't believe their ridiculous response. I drove off thinking how messed up is that - you do something nice and get told you were doing the wrong thing (in a nutshell). Certainly, this is not the normal response?

I have a 11 yr old daughter. She just started middle school. She's a 6th grader. She's had detention since her first week of school. Her problem is that she talkes too much in class and does not do her homework. I've punished her in different ways and she seems not to care. I get calls from her teacher at least twice a week of how she dosen't take school serious. Anybody know what I can do to get her straighten out? I have 2 other sons and I have no problem with them. Sometimes I feel I'm not being a good parent.

I have a 10 month old daughter. I find it rather daunting when I think of having to go against the influences of pop culture to protect her from its negative influences. I know that as her father I am the most important person in her life. I will do everything, even kill, to protect her.

My 9 year old took some long sexy earings out of my jewerly box, stuck them in her backpack and wore them at school without my permission. When I found the earings while doing the wash, I confronted her. She told me the truth, so I took tv time away for 2 days and made her write 100 sentences. When I picked her up the next week, she wore a black beaded choker on. I ask her where did she get it, she replied, "My friend Juliet gave it to me". I told her that it was not appropriate for her age and she needed to return it the next day. Later on I thought, and said to her, "Please tell me that you did not take that out of my jewerly box, she confessed she did. I sat her down, we cried together, and I found out she was trying to impress a boy. Well, I let it slide, just that once, as long as there were no more lies between us. 3 weeks later she now has a lock on her backpack, which I broke off, found make up and old cell phones that she took from someones house, because everyone has them

Okay. Both my parents drink, gamble, and they like to party....ALOT. I go to school, babysit, work, and give them money. But the thing is that they happen to be my stepparents. My real mom is dead and my real dad lives in a different town. My bestfriend's family wants me to move in with them, but my real dad wants me to live with him. But the thing is my step parents won't let me move out and I have a scholar ship here. So I could always go to the cops and move in with my best friend. But here is the other thing I have a lot of brothers and sisters two of which I raised. I love them dearly. So right now things are rough. My stepparents owe me like three hundred dollars, and they keep borrowing. My grades are low. And at times I don't want to do any thing but cry. So if you have any ideas as of what you would do in my situation please let me know. Oh and remember they drink alot. When they are drunk it gets really bad. But yeah thats all I can type right now I think one is coming Thanks

This backseat driver is my 82 yo grandmother who really needs someone to drive her around. BTW, she has no driver's license (hers expired in the 1960s). Her constant comments (during the whole drive) is really starting to become distracting. She'll yell "stop" because she thought a pedestrian was about to walk in front of the car and she will say "why don't you start braking now?"
