My best friend in the world who I love like a sister, live with her common-in-law husband. she been with him a while and they have a child together, everyone look at them as a married couple. well this is it ! her sister-in-law pass away, they was very close and the same age. they have a child around the same age too, well anyway she was hurt by it. when the obituary was pass out her name was not on the obituary, her children were but all of her in-laws was mention on it.- all is married except her, (legally) at the funeral she was hurt and said that it was'nt a big deal....but I can tell deep down she was very hurt, because she was close to her sister-in-law.and it seem like every picture in the in-laws home exclude her, mostly weddings pictures. she said it does not matter, but seem like it should.......they are very nice Chrsitian peoples.. Is it them? or her? putting up with this mess!!!!

I think it was heartless and cruel for the family to leave her out like that. However, life must go on. The best you can do is be there for her. The best she can do is accept that some people are just jerks and find solace in the fact that eventually they'll get theirs. She just has to believe what goes around, comes around. In the very least, she has wonderful memories of a close friendship.

Yes, she perhaps should have been mentioned by name as well. "Very Nice" Christian people don't always act so Christian.
It's a shame but in the grand scheme of things not really that big of a thing. She (I'm sure) cherishes her memories of her and the friendship they had and that is something that nobody can ever take away from her.
