I'd like to find my real father. I'm looking for a man with the last name Bachkowski that lived in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area around summer 1979. I was lucky to get a name from my mother, and she and I no longer speak. I don't want to spend money on the websites. If anyone has any information or can help, I'd be deeply appreciative.

18. I try 2 B there for both, even 2 this day where I am now married N live farther away. I give them gifts on every holiday N birthday, N I never expect N E thing in return. I give them $ when they need it, N get them out of trouble N E sumtimes. I'm very close 2 both, esp. w/ "18". I used 2 B close w/ "24", but we grew apart over the last few years, as I grew even closer 2 18.

It's been about 8 years since I've lost the bond w/ 24, N have been trying 2 get it back. It all started when he started doing drugs, N he already has a bad temper as. At first I tried 2 help him, hang out w/ him, N let him know that I can show him a better environment w/o the drugs. It didn't help- N he would start fights with me. He would hit me, pull a knife out on me, pushed me on our stairs, 4 no reason- but I knew it was from the drugs. And I understood, B cuz I love him. He sees how close I am 2 18, N it hurts, cuz I wish it was the same w/ him. But it's hard to 4 get the fights.

so first things first.. they never liked me .. me and him have been together for 7 years... so like its been years now and I have a two year old a grandson a nephew to them. They complain about me "keeping my son from them" But the truth is I am uneasy around them.. the tension is thick... of course I stay away.

My husband needs advice on how to handle this.

I am hurt and confused and I dont know what to do.

btw I dont like the idea of my son visiting them without me present so you could imagine how big this problem is!!

I have tried all of the files in Scotlands People. There is no records for these people either birth death or in any census forms. Why would this be. Where can I look now.

I am 18 and my father is dying. He had a heart attack and the lack of oxygen caused him to fall into a persistent vegetative state (PVS). It has been two months and now we are told he has a couple days to "live". What he is in right now is not really much of a life, so although I am very upset, he is a strong Christian and I know he will go to a better place. I just started my first year of university and I'm having problems focussing, but I know my dad would want me to be here. Aside from this, my 15 year old sister and my mom and living by themselves and I'm not sure what to do. We're all handling grief in a different way, but my sister especially holds it all inside. I'm very concerned that in the future all our emotions could build up and explode. I'm just not sure what steps I should be taking to combat this and to help my family.

okay here it goes i'm 19 years old, no job no license no car. At teh age of 15 my parents wouldnt let me get my permit becuase of bad grades, 16 same thing, 17 same thing, at 18 i went to take my test failed 4times so i had to wait a whole year to retake it...still no job i dropped out my senior year. thinking i can get my GED get my license and start getting on with my life...then right before my 19th birthday my sister gets disagonesd with a very rare cancer...so my parents tell me not to get a job because i'm the only one that can help around the house while there away at ST. Jude with her... a year later i turn 20 in december and i'm compleletly lost never had a job never had any responality and afriad i'm gonna be a 35 year old loser living at home...anybody else feel this way?

Read my answer to this question above. It has too many character to put in here. This has basically wrecked my family but I think it was pretty screwed up before this. I am soo fed up with my family and sometimes wish I would never see them again.

When I was 10 I liked Dinosaurs. I'm 15 and still my relations keep giving me Dinosaur things for presents. How do you spread the word without offence around the family that I don't want any more DINOSAUR related presents?

You see, my fiance is protestant and I am catholic. Well, I want a catholic wedding and I want to raise the children catholic. My fiance doesn't care if we have a catholic ceremony but he isn't so sure about us raising our children if we have any catholic because he doesn't know much about Catholicism.
How would I get married and not have to raise my children catholic? I would also like to know if it's very common for a couple to teach their children both the protestant and catholic faiths.

Ok I am temporarily living with my mother, little brother, and sister. I have a two year old(will be two next month). Well she whines for what she wants. I ignore her now but my family (its always someone) interferes and gives her what she wants. Ive talked to all of them about this because I am trying to break her out of it but they continue to do it. Especially my mother.. Its her first grand so you know she spoils her. Can someone tell me why there are all these young girls, and I mean like 11, 12, 13 year old girls, who are wanting to play grownup and have sex? And where are the parents, especially the mother to explain these things? I didn't even allow my daughter to date until she was 17, then the boy had to come and meet me first. There was no "going out with somebody"......these kids aren't even old enough to cross the street alone, let alone go out with someone. What is happening to our society?...Please..anyone with coments? How do we stop this?
