I'm doing family tree. I have marriage cert of great great grandparents but can't find birth/death certs Why

I have tried all of the files in Scotlands People. There is no records for these people either birth death or in any census forms. Why would this be. Where can I look now.

Ask old relatives if they know anything about them. Keep good notes. something that doesn't make sense now may become a big clue later.

Even talk with those with memory issues. They are usually very informative when it comes to remembering the past. This may also bring skeletons out of the closet.
