For my parents' anniversary coming up I paid for a weekend stay at a nice bed and breakfast. Many bed and breakfast places offer gift certificates so you could just have that sent to them. Also, the idea of having a family pictured taken or restoring an old one and putting it in a nice frame is a good idea, too. Good Luck.

Sometimes it is difficult to pick a gift for parents that really don't need anything. How about a gift certificate to their favorite dining establishment? Or a gift certificate to one of their favorite stores?

If that doesn't appeal to you another idea might be to make a nice charitable contribution in their name to a charity of their choice.

Remember when giving a gift, it truly isn't as much about the gift itself as it the act of giving something special to someone you care about. It's all about saying "I remembered that today is a special day for the two of you."

How about donate to a charity in their name? Something appropriate to their interests (ie, give to Humane Society if they are animal lovers, Nature Conservancy if they like the outdoors, church group if they are religious, etc). The amount doesn't matter, but they be touched that they raised someone so thoughtful of others.

Is there any thing they do together , like go to the movies, or visit art galleries, or attend concerts, You could buy them season tickets, If they have a lot of money, perhaps you can donate to their favourite charity in their name.
